Iron Horse B&B is a great idea, staying in real railroad boxcars. We enjoyed our stay but at $179 for one night it was very overpriced for the experience. We stayed in a boxcar, base price $139, but they charged an extra $20 per child (2 children). The kids stayed up in two bunk-like loft beds which we had to make up ourselves. They were delighted with it but it was an expensive little sleeping arrangement. The boxcar itself was stuffy, as no windows open except in the bathroom and the front door. Fans were a bit squeaky.

The breakfast was tasty but I'd have to say skimpy. 3 pancakes, or a breakfast taco, coffee, a small glass of juice or milk and two link sausages. They did ask if we'd like another order of pancakes, and brought 2 more.

The main house had games, books about the area, a piano, wine, and the owners were friendly, helpful as to where to eat in town, and kind. The property is adjacent to some historic railroad yards and fun to walk... more
