Idle-A-While isn't for the traveling snob but is a perfect place to kick back and let the time go by. We had a very nice cabin... two beds, bath, living room with cable TV and kitchen.... all for $80. Lots of places to ramble around in the beautiful Methow Valley. Our only complaint was, while the beds were extremely comfortable,... more

great place my partner and I while on our yearly hunting trip had some car problems and to make a long story short we walked seven miles to the highway, then after about 2 hour in the dark walking along highway 20 we were picked up. she took us to twisp and at 10.00pm we called idle-a-while and the gals... more

This looked like a charming roadside motel. The room, with a double bed, was $88. The air conditioner blew out warm air, even when set to the coolest setting. The worst part of the whole experience was the bed. The mattress was wrapped in plastic, which was really hot, really slippery and crinkled with every move. It was like sleeping... more

I cannot recommend this place. The woman at the front desk just didn't seem happy to see us from the moment my husband and I walked in. She became more irritated when we corrected her by telling her our reservations were for two people, not four. As she ran our VISA through the machine I realized we hadn't asked for... more

To my knowledge no one has ever been refused the AAA discount, except during Holiday or 'Special' weekends. We offer this 10% AAA discount as a courtesy to AAA members. We are not associated with AAA in any way and the discount is not manditory. If this person would care to share their name, I am sure I could prove...

This motel, on the eastern end of the N. Cascades Highway, is a great base for whatever activity you're enjoying in the area. We got our own cabin for about $80! Seperate bedroom, kitchen and bath. Clean and well maintained despite it's age. After a day of hunting, skiing, snowmobiling, hiking, fishing or whatever brought you here, enjoy a sauna... more

Make no mistake. This is a road-side motel. But if you are looking for lodgings that are clean, affordable, and reasonably quiet, this is the place. My Lovely Wife and I stayed here for three days while we explored the area. The accomodations (the motel units) were clean and spacious. We hadn't planned on using the kitchenette, but we found... more

We stayed one night in one of their 1940's era cabins and had no complaints at all. Hardly anyone else there and so we enjoyed the deer, quail and other birds amid the great old shade trees on this large, green property. Although we didn't use them, there is also a tennis court, and a clean looking hot tub and... more

Spent 2 nights at the Idle A While Motel in Twisp (Methow Valley). The cabin definately exceeded my expectations! Nothing fancy, but for $97 a night for 3 people and a dog it was perfect! There was a full kitchen with all the equipment and the cabin was really spotless. I wasamazed at how clean it was. The woman who... more
