We Stayed at the Breakers for one night while visiting Westport to go surfing. The rooms were acceptable and affordable. Ours had a full kitchenette, cable tv, as well as speedy and easy to connect to wireless internet. The staff was very friendly and helpful, giving us candles and playing cards during a town wide power outage. They also allowed us to extend our checkout time. I'd recommend it to a friend who might be visiting Westport, but for a romantic weekend I'd suggest finding something more upscale. You kind of get the feeling that the Breakers is also used for transient housing. On the upside, they allow pets as long as you notify them in advance.
