We have stayed at this place previously in a standard room with two queen beds and found it to be uncomfortably small. On the recent stay, we selected the Deluxe King room which is spacious with a full-size sofa, two chairs, a small table, and a kitchen area with microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker. The feature we enjoyed most was... more

We were pleasantly surprised by how nice this motel was. The room had lots of nice features, such as a refrigerator, coffee maker and Seattle's Best coffee, view of the river, and A/C that worked well in the 90 degree temp. The only thing I didn't like was that there were a few dead mosquitos/flies on the wall above our... more

We stayed one night at the Rio Vista. The desk staff was friendly & helpful. I can honestly say our expectations were exceeded. The room was clean & neat & as an added bonus, backed right onto the river, giving us a lovely view of the scenery and wildlife. The location of the hotel is very central & directly across... more

Our expectations were low since the price for our Deluxe King was only $115. Instead our room was attractive, very clean, comfortable and had a wonderful view of the river where deer grazed so we were thrilled!! Great location for walking to dinner and making access to x-country skiing. Also the view from the hot tub was amazing. more

My wife and I booked a one night stay at the Hotel Rio Vista over Memorial Day weekend for $125.00. The first thing I noticed when I walked in the room was the rushing river only a few feet from our outside porch...AMAZING. It is very hard to find a hotel so close to a river with so much activity.... more

Our cross country ski club enjoyed a wonderful week at the Hotel Rio Vista. There were 17 people in our group and Ann, the manager, was very accomodating and helpful when making our reservations. She arranged to be available when we arrived later than expected due to the closure of some of the mountain passes. She also arranged for a... more

Conveniently located is about the only positive thing I can say about the hotel Rio Vista. Well, that and you can see the river. The room we had was dirty when we arrived (dirty shower, toilet, floor)...our request for a new room was rudely dismissed. They did clean the room, but it took more that an hour! This hotel is... more

Winthrop is a small town with a western theme. The hotel was not anything fancy but very nice. All rooms have a private balcony with a beautiful view of the river. It was cool enough when we were there that we left the windows open all night and heard the water very peaceful. No breakfast is offered, there is a... more

We stayed at this hotel the week after Labor Day. The room was not as clean as I would have expected and heard the person above us until 1:30am. It is laid out different than most hotels we have stayed at but in general it was okay. The peopl at the front desk were great. After staying there I don't... more
