We have spent many winter vacations at Chewack River Guest Ranch, enjoying the snowmobiling in the area. The trails are always perfectly groomed and uncrowded. The ranch provides a great homebase for snowmobile rentals if you are going to the Conconully Outhouse Races the weekend of MLK Day every year. Absolutley loved our stay. It's a family run working ranch just outside of Winthrop Washington. Great horses and friendly hosts. We felt very welcome and enjoyed the country atmosphere we felt like we were visiting friends . The 2hour ride into the surrounding hills offered stunning views . My girlfriend and I stayed here for 1 night on July 30. All rooms were clean and appeared recently constructed. The room was also nice and cool in spite of the intense heat. My wife and I spent the first weekend of June 2005 in Winthrop, Washington. This small town has been remodelled to look like a late 1800's Western town, with boardwalks and themed businesses.
