This is a hotel with good value but the rooms could use a good renovation. Apparently they have started the room upgrades but our room all be it clean was a flash back to the 80's. The price inlcudes evening beverages and snacks and a nice hot buffet breakfast. So for a $115 that we paid for a king room,... more
Every time we go to Yakima we lament the fact there aren't really any hotels that we want to return to again and again. That has changed now that we've found the Oxford Suites. All rooms face the river and paved walking/biking trail. The top three rooms have small balconies with two chairs and the bottom floor has sliding doors... more
The Oxford Suites is a great place to stay in Yakima. The location is near the interstate, and opposite a large shopping plaza which includes Walmart. The Yakima River runs directly behind the property, and there is a paved trail along the bank for walkers and joggers. My room was the presidential suite, and included a HUGE jacuzzi type bathtub.... more
Stayed hear for one night prior to the Thanksgiving holiday. This was our second stay at this hotel. The hotel is located along the Yakima River. In fact all of the rooms face the river. There is a regional trail running past the hotel. The hotel is located just off the interstate. There is Burger King between the hotel and... more
Considering this is Yakima and not Seattle this hotel was great on the outside but horrible in the rooms. My husband, 6 year old daughter, 2 month old daughter, and myself stayed in the King Exe Suite on July 19-22. Oxford Suite had a wonderful breakfast and reception each day, the patio and river view was pleasant and relaxing, the... more
We have stayed at this motel several times (which is not to be confused with its sister property Oxford Inn). We booked a "NS King Executive Suite with River View," and were pleased to find that the room has been recently redecorated in what I would describe as "contemporary upscale motel vernacular." I learned from the desk clerk that all... more
I stayed at the Oxford Suites in early February while returning from an extended vacation. I parked my pickup with locked canopy directly in front of the left side door under a light. I chose this location thinking it's visibility would be more a theft deterent as I had more stuff in the vehicle than we could take into the... more
On the plus side, the Oxford Suites is on the Yakima River with a nice walking/jogging path. The price includes a free breakfast and reception. On the downside, the rooms are dated and the "reception" is kind of gross (french fries, a selection of three beers or box wine, etc.). The hotel has the right idea, but the execution is... more
I wrote a previous (negative) review of the Red Lion Yakima Center. In search of a new place to stay, I heard people raving about the Oxford Suites. After my three night stay, I join the chorus of loyal customers. The room was utilitarian and clean. The bed was extremely firm...just the way I like it. They had a better... more
