This looked like a good place to go for family-friendly lunch. We were one of only two tables being served on a September weekday. The service was ok, but the food was not up to expectations. Would not go again. more

Where to start? Went for dinner with family on short holiday to Berkeley Springs. Read the story of the restaurant and was intrigued. Nice to see people unafraid of religion in the workplace and public space. Owner (?) was surly when we arrived but waitress was friendly. Food arrived without too much delay. But really, it was terrible. Just awful.... more

Berkeley Springs is a quaint town in the panhandle of West Virginia. The diversity of businesses there go quite well with the diversity of people who live and visit there. Maria's Garden has the most wonderful rooms, they range from suites with jacuzzi baths to rooms with double beds and a shared bath. There is a room for what ever... more

My family has passed through Berkeley Springs a few times on our way to and from the University of Virginia, where I go to school. With the rather paltry selection of restaurants at which we can eat, we decided one night upon Marias, being attracted with the claims of Italian food and the religious aspect, as our family is Catholic... more

We went to dinner at Maria's on President's Day weekend. We were 4 adults, 3 children, hungry and happy. It was about 6 pm on a Sunday night (President's Day weekend), and the restaurant was virtually empty. The dinner was terrible: long wait for simply inexcusable food. The service was pleasant enough, but excruciatingly slow and not so well-informed. For... more

Quaint alternative to your average hotel room. The free breakfast was not good, but there are near by restaurants to choose from. We had the suite; 2 rooms with a shared bath and kitchenette. Loved the neighborhood and the porch. Thanks Perry family!!!! more

This is less of a restaurant & more of a shrine to the Virgin Mary. The service is S--L--O--W (i.e. after we ordered simple meals--subs & pasta-- it took close to 50 minutes to be served!) Any residual Catholic guilt will make it hard for you to get up & leave... but you should.... the food is marginal at best. more

I frequently take little weekend "breathers" and head out to Berkeley Springs, WV, for weekend R & R. Last year I was introduced to Maria's Garden Restaurant. Since that introduction, I always come back when in the area. Peg, the owner & primary cook, makes the BEST meatballs. They are huge, tasty, and filling. Her personality sparkles and this sparkle... more

Recently had dinner at Maria's during a trip to Berkeley Springs. My mother and I both found the food (mostly Italian) to be excellent. Service was also good and the surroundings were very pleasant. Prices were very reasonable. I would definitely recommend Maria's. We didn't have kids with us, but it looked like it would accommodate them well. more
