My husband and I have stayed at the Carriage Inn B&B twice. The first time we stayed in the Carriage House suite and the second time we stayed in the Copper Beech Suite. Both are equally as charming and romantic as the other! And both have the best jacuzzis in the world! The owners, Donn & Marie, are very accommodating... More

Hosts, Donn and Marie welcomed us into their historical home and treated us as priviledged guests. The rooms sparkled with antique decor. Breakfast, Donn's specialty, was superb. Quality snacks and beverages were available 24 hours. We will return. More

We arrived a little late and Marie was kind enough to offer us delicious raspberry bars, tea and give us a tour of the home and a little history lesson. The breakfast the next morning was really great and was brought promptly to our room as was previously arranged. We stayed in a room where we could eat in the... More

Set back off the street, with a lovely grassy lawn and large old trees, the inn's front porch was a very inviting place to sit with morning coffee or evening tea (of which they offered a fine selection, including decaf). Urns of hot water and coffee were always available. Perfectly situated for historic walking tours or leisurely strolls around the... More

I've stayed at the Carriage Inn several times, each time in a different room. It's hard to say which would be my favorite. The Robin's Nest is on the top floor and is a delightful getaway! The period decor is elegant, yet warm...not at all stuffy. The hosts, Donn & Marie, have a knack for making one feel as though... More

We ran away from home overnight, and this was a delightful place to do so! Very convenient to the Charles Town Races, without being at all like that grimy, over-hyped neon atmosphere. A beautiful place! More

Very nice hosts, interesting bit of history, and good food. The afternoon coffee and dessert was spot on - nicely presented and tasty. If you are a light sleeper, select a room in the back of the inn to avoid traffic/train noise. More

This charming bed and breakfast is a historic house in Charles Town WVA. The house was used as a meeting place during the Civil War where Grant and Sherman made plans for the Federalist's assault on the valley. We stayed in the Copper Beech room which had a king sized bed, a two person tub, and a private screened in... More
