We stayed in the guest house, next to the main bed & breakfast, so this review reflects those accommodations. The guest house is newer, built in the 1930's and located next door to the Morris Harvey House. It has been updated and has four bedrooms and two bathrooms. Two bedrooms and one bath are upstairs and two bedrooms and a... More

Built in 1902, the Morris Harvey House has been updated to modern times without losing its century-old charm. The property is filled with period furniture and decorations. While we had a very nice room with private bath, some of the rooms have shared baths, so be sure to specify which room you want. All are on the website. Great breakfast.... More

This is a beautiful B & B in Fayetteville. Our host Bernie was VERY accommodating. Even to the extent of honouring our Hotels dot comreservation even though I screwed up and booked it a night before we ARRIVED in Fayetteville. House & street were quiet and peaceful. Although we arrived late we walked around town and saw several interesting looking... More

My husband and I recently stayed at the Morris Harvey House B and B on our way to and from Louisville, KY. The house is beautiful, and the innkeeper, Bernie, couldn't have been kinder or more helpful. He is a font of information about the house's history, and he and his son, BJ, keep the place immaculate. We stayed in... More

We got in around dinner time and Bernie was there to greet us. He showed us around the house, which was beautifully decorated. He asked us if we had eaten yet and when we said no, he described the different restaurants within walking distance. Bernie even had menus from the restaurants for us to look at to help us choose... Pros: The outside and first two floors are a lovely Victorian home in historic Fayetteville. The location is within walking distance of several good restaurants. Cons: We stayed in the Loft, located on the third floor up a very narrow, dark, steep set of stairs. The Loft had two bedrooms, a sitting area and private bath, which is why I... More

My husband and I stayed here for a couple of nights on our way to Myrtle Beach. This is a lovely old home, nicely decorated and very clean. We stayed in the Grand Suite, which was very pretty and spacious. Bernie was helpful and welcoming. He gave us a tour and recommended restaurants in the area, which proved to be... More

Bernie makes the best breakfast! After enjoying breakfast, the New River Gorge National Park is so near, that a leisurely stroll on a forest easy trail tops off the morning. Plus there's Fayetteville, the "coolest small town" in WV with very good restaurants. Bernie tells you all about them. The Victorian B&B of the old Harvey Morris House makes a... More

My husband, son and I traveled to the New River\Summersville West Virginia area for a long weekend of mountain biking in the New River Gorge, doing the Bridgewalk under the New River Gorge Bridge, scuba diving in Summersville Lake and hiking. We booked the Loft Suite and were very comfortable. The entire B&B is very clean, the furnishings are lovely... More

Lovely house and a charming innkeeper! The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was traditional rather than gourmet, but quite delicious nonetheless. Bernie was very helpful with dinner recommendations as well.
