We recently stayed at the Linden House, part of the Foxwood Inn in Flat Top, West Virginia. We rented Linden House for a week and, although we didn't stay in the Inn, many of the experiences are shared.
Jack and Betty Elwood are very pleasant hosts, and Linden House is beautiful. Its interior is essentially as shown in the website photos, and you will not be disappointed. The furnishings are also first class, and each bedroom has a comfortable king-sized bed.
Although the interior of Linden House was near perfect, the exterior has succumbed to the weather. Unfortunately, the "screened porch" as shown in the website's photo no longer has screens, and two of the three screen doors accessing the rear decks need repair.
The scenery is impressive -- the back of Linden House faces Flat Top Mountain, and views extend down the valley to distant mountains. It is also quiet and secluded. You don't have to worry about noisy neighbors!
