Detailed Reviews
We came to West Virginia for a little getaway during the pandemic, planning to spend most of our time outdoor at the various State Parks in the area. We chose this hotel because it had an outdoor pool, which we thought was a "safer" option (than indoors) should our kids want to swim after a day of hiking ... Which, of course, they did!
Our family of five (two adults, three kids) stayed in the "1 King Bed Suite" which was said to sleep up to eight people. It consisted of a king bed, one pull-out couch, and one regular couch so it more accurately slept five people as it was set up (you could pay extra for a roll-away bed, but we chose not to do that). It was one very large, spacious room (no separate bedroom for the king bed), and it actually had a full kitchen with stove/oven and full-sized refrigerator which we had not been expecting. This feature turned out to be great as we were able to make our own dinner in the room on some nights, but this was NOT communicated on the website and we would have prepared better (brought pots/pans and other cooking gear) had we known this. The hotel's "hot breakfast" was a little different due to the pandemic (items were put in a brown bag that you could just grab and take to your room), but it was still enough to fill our stomachs before a day out in the area.
The hotel was very full on the first couple nights of our stay and things got noisy above our room late at night and early in the morning. If there were other "1 King Bed Suites" on the second floor, I would opt for that next time to cut down on that noise. Overall, we had a nice stay at the hotel and would choose this Quality Inn again if we returned to the area.

We selected this hotel because it had pet friendly rooms and convenient highway access. The long, steep driveway and crumbling parking lot scared us upon arrival. The restaurant next door was empty and abandoned. What were we getting into? Inside, we found an appealing lobby and welcoming staff. Our room was clean, with a fresh coat of paint, but the furniture needed updating (as we so often unfortunately find in pet friendly rooms). The mattress needed replacing and the linens were skimpy. There was a pet stain on the box spring coverlet - it would be easy to remove that to wash or replace if cleaning staff were attentive. For small pet owners, be aware that there was no box frame underneath the bed so pets can hide underneath. The bathroom was large and had a nice vanity and excellent lighting. Unfortunately the shower had been cheaply updated with an fiberglass insert that wasn’t in the best condition. The breakfast offerings were quite good and varied and there were plenty of tables available in the lobby. The pool was in the process of being filled and it looked to be a pleasant outdoor area. There were no longer any restaurants within walking distance- as the website led you to believe. Closest are a Mexican restaurant and a Dennys but it was also easy to get to restaurants downtown along the river walk within 3-4 miles.

We were there Labor Day weekend. It was a good stay. Check-in was efficient and courteous. We were able to park near the door.
The room was amply sized, perfectly clean and the king-sized bed was comfortable. The pool was operating, but we didn't try it. There was no noise whatsoever. The Wi-Fi connected easily; I didn't measure speed, but streaming video worked fine.
The breakfast was good with eggs, sausage, yoghurt, fresh waffles, muffins, orange juice, cereal and bagels (probably some other stuff I didn't notice).
The only negatives were that the room smelled a little musty at first, although I didn't notice it afterwards. The TV/Cable box required two remotes that were a little tricky to figure out (just be sure the TV input is set to HDMI1).
Note to you EV drivers: this hotel is 1/2 mile from the Tesla Supercharger at Sheetz. Also, this hotel is pet friendly, although we didn't bring ours this trip.

STAY FAR AWAY !
As a previous resident of Morgantown, we came back in to town for the weekend and had one of the worst experiences in a hotel room with our family. I have only walked away from a few hotels and this being one of them. We were only at the room for 20 mins and most of that time was spent calling around to other hotels in town, that were all booked up for good reason. Check in was easy, as we had prepaid for a better rate. The staff was friendly at the front desk and the lobby looks like it had previously been re-done and spruced up. When we arrived it was about an hour and a half past 3 pm (their check in time) figuring this would have been ample time to have the rooms cleaned and ready. It was not. The front desk had to go and check the room to make sure it was clean, since stating that because previous guests checked out around noon, it was not ample enough time typically to have the room cleaned by the time we arrived. As we were waiting, my daughter enjoyed watching the 2 stray cats through the dirty glass looking at the outdoor pool. We were then informed that they charge for the plastic room keys if they weren't returned (most hotels stopped that practice 15 years ago)Once we got ready to head to the room we were informed that there were NO ELEVATORS so we had to take the steps, which smelled like someone had thrown up and cigarettes. I am happy I didn't bring the bags up yet. There were also brown sticky stains on about every step. When we got in to the room the first thing we noticed was the strong smell of cigarettes in a "non-smoking hotel". The next thing was the stains on the chair when you first walk in, the outdated microwave, missing cabinet under the sink to hide the pipes, stains on the bed skirt, stains on the comforter, stains on the night stand, stains on the pull out mattress and an outdated air conditioner unit which smelled like smoke and must. When turning around to go to the bathroom, I also noticed the door latch that appeared to have been kicked off a few times and not even bothered to be repainted (security concern, good thing they got the digital locks) The caulking at the tub surround had separated and had visible mold throughout. The same with the side of the tub where shotty drywall work and caulk looked to cover up a water leak that appeared to not be resolved. There were also still pieces of what appeared to be toilet paper all over the ground of the bathroom.
Once we secured another hotel, with an actual suite for 25 bucks more, we then went to the front desk and told them that we were not going to stay in the hotel with the noted concerns above and returned the keys. They said they would refund the money for the stay.
I never write reviews, but based on everything I read until this point i thought it was a decent place to stay for the price and it turns out that it wasn't. The pictures were very deceiving on the website for what we actually got in person.

I made my reservation from suburban DC, sight unseen, but I was pleasantly surprised and would definitely stay here again. Pluses: King Room (upgrade) no extra charge; Microwave, Fridge, Coffee Maker; Tile in Bath & entry; Carpet in sleeping area; Easy Chair with ottoman; 100’s of Cable TV channel plus pay-per-view; Pool; plenty of well-lit parking; King Bed had 5 (five) pillows! They advertise a “continental” breakfast, but it also had Hot items: Eggs, Sausage and Waffles! Coffee at the breakfast bar was Hot and STRONG! Room was $89.72 which is a fair price for a college town on a Saturday Night. I imagine it fills up & sells out on Football weekend in the Fall. Minuses: NONE

The check in went smooth. Was a bit surprised when the clerk told me that we couldn't go skinny dipping in the pool. I cant believe that this would even have to be brought to our attention (Or should we watching for something we dont want to see?)
The room smelled strange, the carpet and easy chair were extremely soiled (Nasty). I wouldn't even put my luggage in the chair.
The morning included breakfast consisted of powdered eggs, GREASY sausage & gravy over frozen biscuits. I tried both and threw them in the trash. There were bagels & cream cheese, good coffee.
Sorry to say, we had already booked this motel for our return trip, soooo
Oh Well !
Avoid this location if at all possible.
I wouldn't recommend

The hotel continues to fall into disrepair. The entrance road is brutal. Renovations that were done a few years ago were poorly done and the bath tubs are disgusting. Floors in the room were sticky We have stayed here for many years on our way home from South Carolina. Very convenient to Interstate 79. I just checked my credit card and a mysterious $5 charge was added to my card….No information what the additional charge was for and I wasn’t informed of it and I didn’t authorize it.
We will be looking for a new hotel next April 1.

Arrived at this facility from I-68. Access was up on a hill and I didn't see a sign at the bottom initially but GPS got me there. Amanda at check in was super down to earth and friendly as you could ask for. Place is standard Quality Inn. Outside and hallways were fair. The room was very clean. No dust, no hair, floor was clean. Air conditioner worked well. It was 97 degrees outside. The outdoor pool had ALOT of long black hair floating in it. In June 2021 they still don't have breakfast worth anything. The attached restaurant is closed also.

Just passing through and thought it seemed like a good deal. There’s no view, it’s filthy (see pics, moldy shower and curtains), we never got a shower curtain or extra towels. It’s in the middle of nowhere up a crusty road. The desk guy was nice but clearly alone and overworked. Kinda creepy vibes.

Nothing fancy. Actually, the only perk about this place is its convenient location. The second floor hallway smelled of sweaty bodies and smoke, furniture had zero cushioning left (and didn’t match the crazy color scheme of the room), and the carpet felt damp, kinda spongey. I’d have forgiven all of that for a good night’s sleep but, NOPE! Bed was hard as a rock, with nasty polyester sheets, and the poor old HVAC unit couldn’t get the room to a comfortable temp til about 5am.
Should have driven into town.
