This was our second trip to The Greenbrier; the first visit was when my wife and I had our wedding reception here in 1998. This time we brought along our 3 kids to help celebrate our 15th anniversary. I wasn't quite sure what to expect. I had very fond memories of the place, but a lot can change in 15... More

For old world elegance and splendor, with modern comforts, you cannot beat the Greenbrier. It is wonderful to be to be treated like royalty by all staff. The SPA is fantastic. The only improvement I would suggest is a long bike trail. I would recommend to all.

Yes, it's expensive. But it is incredible! Having visited The Greenbrier many times many years ago and also visiting it before Mr Justice took it over, I can say The Greenbrier is back!! This was our second visit in the past two years and we will return again. The rooms, staff, grounds, food, casino, and overall ambience are magnificent. Hats... More

This hotel is a splurge, and people come to celebrate something, or for a meeting. No matter what plan you choose, it's about $600 up for a couple per day (including food but not golf). The good news is that , at least in my opinion, it is still worth it. I had not visited for over 15 years, and... More

Stopped by this place on a roadtrip and thought it was GORGEOUS! Walked around the main building and took a ton of pictures. Stopped at the concierge desk and he told us to eat at the Draper and to try the ice cream as they are known for it. Lunch there was very good. Everything is overpriced, but that's a... More

Boy I'm glad I had a hamburger at the pool. We had a gala event in the Colonial Dining room and the menu said it would be shrimp and a filet for the main course. I think it should have said one filet for the whole table. The entree was really tiny, really tiny. I have had bigger tasting courses.... More

I have lived in West Virginia my entire life, and I have all about the Greenbrier - the secret bunker, "Dorothy Draper's Magnum Opus" interior design, the presidents and nobility who have visited, and most recently, billionaire Jim Justice's purchase and upgrading of the property - including the addition of a casino. This past weekend my husband (also a West... More

Will go over my notes from the Greenbrier. First of all, it is a wonderful place to visit, and play golf. We enjoyed our stay very much Pro's 1. Forum and Sam Sneads at the golf course were great. We learned a great lesson from the first day. If you are not big eaters, order one of what you want... More

I feel as if I stepped back into the 1920's!!! This hotel is incredible. Each gallery is more lavish than the one before. There is so much to do here: hiking, golfing, biking, shopping, eating, swimming, and tennis just to name a few. The scenery is beautiful! The service is so exquisite I feel as if I am in an... More

We stopped by on our way through and this was a welcome break from the road! We didn't stay the night, but we spent several hours looking around and plan to go back soon. There is a lot of history to the hotel which we found most interesting. The rooms are stunning and the grounds are pretty much their own... More
