I read the reviews on here, as I was making my reservations for yet another year of camping at Wheeler's. There are two "terrible" reviews that I laughed a little at. First of all, I am a single mom of two, and somewhat protective of our privacy, SAFETY, and ability to chill away from home in a family-oriented place. Also... More

We had a wonderful Memorial weekend at Wheelers. The grounds are very clean and landscaped. The owners are very friendly and helpful. At night it was quite and we no problems sleeping in our tent. We would recommend this to all our friends. We plan to stay at Wheelers when we visit the area in the future.

All in all a very nice place to camp. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate with the rainy nights and the 38 degree lows. The Wheelers are a very nice couple and my wife and I had some nice conversations with them. My wife Ann and I would definitely go back, weather permitting.

We have a group of families that camp a couple of times a year. We spent this Memorial Day weekend at Wheeler's campground near Devil's Lake, WI. ( this trip 6 adults, 11 kids from 5 - 15 ) We enjoyed the experience so much we booked sites for our next "families trip" The campground is geared towards families, nature,... More

I have to concur with Tori from Las Vegas, the owner of this place is very rude, petty and abrasive. Devil's Lake S.P. which charges $17 per night for a tent site, was sold out so we had tried this place, which charged us $31 per night ($29 if you pay cash). We bought firewood from the owner for $5... More

This campground is just outside Devil's Lake State Park. We had wanted to camp in the park, but were too late making our decision to go, and thus no spots were available. Lucky for us, there was still room at Wheeler's Campground. It was a great spot for my husband and I and our 2 little ones. The grounds were... More

Lollie and Marc Wheeler have themselves a beautiful, quaint and immaculately kept campground. Our reservations were made within a week of the holiday and the group site they recommended fit our needs perfectly. Close to Devil's Lk and there's even a Walmart nearby just in case. The kids nicknamed our site "Camp Awesome" - a name that fits the Wheeler's... More

My family and I planned a family reunion type camping trip, and we chose Wheeler's due to it's convenient location near Devil's Lake. When I called to make the reservation, I let the woman (Mrs. Wheeler) know that there would be ten of us, but that we would like to reserve three campsites to be within their guidelines. Even though... More

Wheelers Campground came recommended to me through a client of mine. Had I not gotten the recommendation, I'd have been n Lake Geneva at Big Foot Beach - which I hear is crap. Wheelers is owned by a husband/wife duo who happen to be very nice people, although strict about the noise level and cleanliness of their grounds. Wheelers Campground... More
