This hotel was very old. The pool was small, the tile around it was old and dirty looking. The rooms were small and very dated. However, the rooms were clean. The breakfast was good but received only 2 tickets for the complimentary breakfast and we had 4 in our party. It served our purpose but we will try not to... more

This hotel is nice when you first arrive as described by other guests. The lobby is clean and updated and the employees were friendly. However, when you get to your room, you find out why people don't like this hotel. The rooms are outdated, especially on the 8th Floor, the walls are marked up, and it was generally dirty. There... more

I stayed here for a conference last month, and was honestly a little worried after a horrible experience I had with a ramada in another state, but this proved to be a much better experience. They seemed to be a little understaffed (the same girl that checked us in and out, brought our delivered package to our room) but we... more

We used this hotel for a conference. The staff was very nice, as you would expect in Northern WI. But it was very poorly managed. Check in was a very slow process. Some people stood in line for up to 45 minutes. I think they were running DOS machines. It would have been faster to do it by hand. At... more

Whatever the reviews on this website say, things have changed. I was just there and they had new carpet in the hotel (one week ago), they were putting up new wall coverings and the check out person said they were going to be getting new beds and linens by the end of February. All in all, a very pleasant place.... more

My company put me in this hotel because we have a deal. The room smelled like mildew and looked like it hadn't been updated for 20 years or more. Extremely loud air conditioning unit with two settings: off or North Pole. The lobby was nice enough, but WiFi didn't work in the room as promised. more

Booked a room as part of a wedding group. Fun wedding, but this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in and I travel 3-4 times a year. I'm 29, not picky and grew up in a third world country. Pros: Pretty nice downtown location, free parking in ramp on weekends, pretty meeting room Cons: Banquet food was awful,... more

Toilet in my room overflowed....and I don't use that much TP! The maintenence guys were not there yet (it was after 8 a.m.) so the manager came to clean up. Unfortunately, he forgot to send the maintenence crew up with a plunger when they arrived. Same day, 12 hours later, I use the toilet and it overflows again. Also, the... more

We stayed for 2 nights over the 4th of July. Lobby and restaurant are nice. But when you go to your room, things change. The carpets in the hallways are stained and worn. The room itself was okay. We checked in around 9 PM & went to the pool for a quick swim. While I was at the pool, someone... more

We needed to make a quick trip to Eau Claire so I jumped on Hotwire and booked something quickly. I was really worried when they gave me the Ramada and I came back to TripAdvisor to see what people had to say. Of course, once you're booked - you're booked with Hotwire. To be totally honest with the hotel it... more
