We were in town to tour UWEC with our daughter. I made reservations here because I thought I'd read good reviews about it on Tripadvisor. I realize now I must have read about a different Super 8 since this is the first posted review. It is nasty. The lobby is tiny and featured a fish tank with no light or fish in in for that matter that we could see. The man at the desk was nice, but that's the only good thing I can say. We asked about staff at the desk overnight and were told that the front door was locked at 11:00 PM and that there was no one at the desk from midnight to 5:45 PM. That was a bit disconcerting as the motel isn't in a super high traffic area, but we went up to check the room. On our way, we passed a completely pitch black "fitness center"- scary. Our room was old, freezing and looked dingy. We tried to get the heat to come on and couldn't. In my attempt, I found a used matchstick resting on the heater vent.
