I was visiting my Daughter in Winona, MN. Fountain Motel, in Fountain City is about 8 miles from the campus. It is across the bridge and a few miles from that. I would highly reccomend! I travel extensively for work, (50-60 hotel stays per yr) & i usually don't stay at Motels, but this is the best Motel i've ever stayed at & would recommend to everyone i know ! more
I was able to locate several apartments while down there in Fountain City & the surrounding areas. Even though Burlington Northern Sante Fe goes by frequently I love trains so that wasn't a problem, the first night was a little getting used to as the train went by every hour on the hour I think.
