The neglect of the lodge was disheartening. It looked like someone's Gramma's house in the big woods that was forgotton. This is a beautiful lodge, but it has unfortunately fallen into hands that obviously do not care about it. Our room was nice (Gatehouse Cabin) but the tub would not fill with hot water (only a couple inches in the bottom was hot) and the sink had a constant leak. The staff was nice enough, very apologetic about the tub... more

For the past two years we've taken a weekend in August to stay at Seven Pines Lodge. My wife and I have two young children that we adore, but as anyone with kids can tell you - it's nice to get away once in a while as a couple and relax. So with grandma on board to watch the children... more
