We just returned from a a two night stay at Escape By The Lake B&B in North Hudson, Wi. We have only stayed in a handful of B&B's so our basis of camparison is somewhat limited but we were certainly able to say Karen and Rick made us feel very much at home. Their B&B is really more like a stay in their home versus bigger mansion style homes set up with mutliple guest rooms. It is located on a quiet cul de sac in a residential neighborhood right on the lake. They only have two rooms and it is truly just like visiting close friends, who by the way, can prepare one fantastic breakfast. Each morning we had an elegantly prepared and delicious four course breakfast, served out on their deck overlooking the lake. Starting with a great cup of coffee and ending with a fresh fruit sorbert each day, we had two delicious meals each morning. We stayed in the smaller of the two rooms called the garden suite.
