Excellent menu and wine list; I was shocked. Fantastic steak for under 15 bucks. My wife loved a salad with apples and my kids had paninis, which I tasted - best I have ever had. They had +/- 40 wines on the wine list; some really great one's I know from home, but at half the price. Both the food... more

We visited in June 2009, and much to our joy the town was very quiet. There were only a few people in the hotel and it's possible they hadn't ramped up for the tourist season. This is obviously an old hotel and they have managed to maintain much of the old world charm with their choice of chairs, fireplace and... more

We met some friends up there... Hit the town and had a blast. Best thing was that we slept in later than we have in a long time b/c our bed and room was so comfortable. I would defintely recommend going up there. Also... go do some wine tastings at the surrounding vinyards. Fun weekend!!! more

We stayed with several friends Memorial Day weekend and had a great time. The staff and new owners are fascinating. It was also the opening weekend of their new Bistro. The food was very good, espically the Asian Salad, and the wine selection was the best I have found in the Kewaunee and southern Door County area. There are still... more

Don't let the lobby fool you. The rooms in this hotel are great! If you are looking for a group get away; this place is the place to stay. The staff is more than accomadating to requests and they are very friendly. There is a bar that is connected to the lobby with a pool table and basic neccesities that... more

I've stayted at the Karsten many times, I love their haunted hotel, they have an annual spirit weekend, with classes and ghost hunting, great parties, and just a quiet stay for the night, it seems like what ever Im in the mood for I can find it at the Karsten. The area is beautiful and the lake is nice, unfortunatly... more

Upon arriving 7-21-06 for a two night stay, we found the room housekeeping was sub-par: there was a dirty toilet, and the floor was not vacuumed. We were not advised about their wireless internet (we really needed it), if it was available. Signs and log books abound advising that the inn is haunted, great spoof. After following instructions for obtaining... more

My daughter and I had just moved to Wisconsin and wanted to stay somewhere to share a little mother-daughter time. We wanted somewhere that had an old time feel to it, and that was located near Lake Michigan as we had not seen the Great Lake before. We could not have picked a better place. It was wonderful. The staff... more

I booked a room with a queen sized bed and jacuzzi through lodging. When we arrived at the hotel the first time they showed us a room similar to what was booked and it looked great. When we actually showed up on our wedding night, the room we got had a full sized bed and no jacuzzi. When I complained... more
