My husband and I were looking for a place to unwind and reconnect before the holidays. We were debating between Osthoff Resort and Kohler. Kohler won because we'd been to Osthoff before and the facilities and accommodations at Kohler SOUNDED superior. The spa is nice and the room was cute, with TOP service (when we called room service, they said they would make us ANY drink, so my husband ordered a chocolate malt at midnight). But it wasn't $600 worth of luxury. The rooms are relatively small and kind of dated. The spa is TINY. the area around that beautiful waterfall pool pictured in all of the advertisements allows for only six lounge chairs around it. I really didn't want to wait to enjoy this area after we paid more than $500 for spa treatments. The rooftop lounge with fireplace was once again TINY (like four lounge chairs and a couch tiny) and also enclosed.
