Went to the UP for a wedding in Menominee, MI, which is directly across the river. This and one other hotel (Americinn) were the only choices for stay. Bestwestern Riverfront is a beat-up hotel. Comfy beds and clean rooms were over-shadowed by the hotel policy of letting parents drop their kids for the night. The room across from us had 6 pre-teens holding a BD party. Good bed, standard 1990-style furnishings, very musty hallways, very basic breakfast service in a coffee shop that was clearly not one doing a "land office business". I found this hotel very suitable for a small town in northern Wisconsin. It was adequately clean, I found the staff quite friendly and had a decent breakfast in the morning. It is nothing special, but I certainly would stay there again should I ever have a need to visit that area. more
