What a place in the country. Surrounded by rolling Hills of WI. I thought I was in upstate NY. A valley veiw unimagineable for WI with towerring steep hills surrounding the lodge. A most try and see, well worth the drive from anywhere. We were so fortuinate to find this as it was a passsing spontaeous fluke. We will be... more

Nora and Pete are great InnKeepers. The B & B has an awesome, picturesque view from ever angle you look. The Inn was comfortable as well as spacious. My daughter and I came to visit for a workshop. I would recommend staying here, especially if you have a few days to wander the area. We were made to feel very... more

The place is pretty much alone in the base of a valley, where we sat and watched the sunrise over the crest of the hills. If you want a place in the country to view the stars, go for a hike, and relax, this would be it. It was so peacefull and relaxing. more

Our hosts, Nora and Pete, enveloped us with their friendship and kindness - AND humor! The beauty of the landscape was unbelieveable! Even without sunshine...it glowed! A perfect "hollow" to sink into and enjoy - the peacefulness of the "country "and God's beauty! What more could we ask! more

we have spent one weekend every October for the last 7 years at the Inn at Lonesome Hollow and it is consistently perfect. Nora & Pete are wonderful hosts and obviously have high standards for their B&B. They are warm and welcoming and make you feel as if you are old friends. The rooms are immaculate and the property is... more

We had an incredible time at the Lonesome Hollow B&B; we would highly recommned going to the FIrehouse restaurant in Viroqua, WI just 14 miles up the road for an incredible steak and seafood dinner for two - drinks, appetizers and a shared dessert for only $57. It has a firefighter's theme throughout the restaurant. We would go back to... more

The setting is beautiful, the rooms are tasteful and spacious, the hosts are great and the breakfasts are excellent. We stayed during the height of the fall colors and loved the excellent advise of Pete and Nora on places to go, things to see and do and recommendations on local dining. We have stayed at B&B's from Calif. to Cornwall... more

I travelled with my partner, my sister and our elderly mother who suffers from arthritic knees and uses a walker. We took over the 3 rooms in the main inn, which meant that we also had use of the small but comfortable indoor breakfast room (equipped with TV), and the beautiful outdoor terrace overlooking the valley (on the ground floor... more

We took a chance and booked our trip based only on the Inn's website (didn't know about TripAdvisor at the time). The pictures of the beautiful, private valley convinced me to take a chance, but naturally I expected that the images in the pictures would be somewhat better than reality. Well, the pictures do not do the valley (and the... more
