We stayed here last minute due to getting hit with a snow/ice storm. The rate was very reasonable. There was a shuttle to the casino every 10 min. or so. The room was ok...a bit dated but clean enough and I slept very well. The bathroom was pretty small, but the sink was outside of the bathroom so that helped.... More

The hotel is about a block from the casino but they have a nice shuttle bus that runs every few minutes. We stayed in a regular room that was clean but simple. Friends of ours had a suite that was fantastic. The breakfast was ok but nothing special. The best part of this hotel is the great price if you... More

We stayed at the hotel on may 23rd overnight. First impression was awful. Building is in shambles. Dirty carpet, bad smell, torn wall paper, crowded dirty lobby. When we checked in we were asked for our license plate number and vehicle make and model. We were not told this over the phone so we held up the queue for 5... More

This is my second business stay at the Turtle Lake Hotel. Based on the bedding and carpet, rooms not updated recently. This is nothing fancy, but it meets your needs of a very inexpensive hotel and free hot breakfast. Access to coffee and juice is available at all times. The Pioneer Press paper delivered to your front door is also... More

We go for a guy's weekend every year and end the night at Turtle Lake. The hotel is perfectly serviceable. The nicest part of the joint is the pool/hot tub area which is quite nice. The rooms could use a little spiff but it sounds like they might be replacing some carpet, etc. We always have a great time and... More

While planning a visit to the area, we decided to stay at the hotel again. Allison took our reservation over the phone, and provided great customer service. When we arrived, we received a better rate on our suite by using our players club card! The room was welcomingly 'themed', spacious, clean, and well maintained. Our dinner in the Casino restaurant... I really like this casino. It is always clean and doesn't smell like smoke. Has a great snack bar with very cheap prices and also a good buffet. Only thing I am mad at them about...they took out my 1 cent Clown Progressives! Its not like no one played them...there was always a wait to sit down! Since they took... More

Our family met at the St. Croix Casino Hotel at Turtle Lake to celebrate Thanksgiving. Our extended family is in Ohio and the Minnesota families have their own celebrations. We ate Thanksgiving buffet which was very good and the price was reasonable $10.99. The wait was quite long (1.5 hrs.) compared to what we experienced the past 2 years at... More

We joined the players club and then the room only cost us a little more than $40. It was a good clean suitable room for the money, The breakfast is the normal spred found in most hotels. The hotel is located across the street from the casino, which I didn't see as any problem.

We were on a short vacation with our four grandkids and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The rooms were ok, hallways were dirty. The good thing was the huge pool. Our grandkids are ages 9 - 12 and swimming was very important. The first night when we were going swimming, we were stopped in the hallway by... More

Donna, we regret that your visit with us was not enjoyable. We always appreciate our guest’s feedback, particularly feedback that indicates when we have not met the expectations of our loyal guests. It is true our management and staff have been working hard to revamp our hotel with brand new beds, carpeting, T.Vs, and repairs. We also understand how construction... More
