Upon arrival, we were greeted by the owner, a camera and our B&B hostess. Despite being 'first-time actors,' were invited to participate in a casual video for the "check-in" scene. Aside from the unexpected welcome, we were delighted with the ambiance of the place. The decor was consistent with daintily painted vases, elegant drapery, a well-positioned baby grand and flashback to the 40's furniture (or older). I fell in love with it and so did my husband - a photographer. We stayed in the North Room, which aside from the bright morning light, was a fabulous experience. Fresh linens were provided. The hostess often taunted us with the aroma of her kitchen concoctions. Oh! And the breakfast, presented at the hour your choice, led me to believe I was in a posh B&B somewhere off the Gold Coast of Chicago! There are only two famed B&B's in the area. This is a splendid must!! more
