Our cousin had his wedding reception here Aug 25 so we decided to stay the night at a discounted rate of $69. The rooms were clean and spacious. We stayed in connecting rooms #158 and #160. The only disappointment regarding the room was the lack of refrigerators and/or microwaves. We had nowhere to keep the baby's milk, kids juice boxes,... more

This former Howard Johnson's motor lodge has seen far better days. We spent two long nights here in March 2005 and the overall experience was pretty awful. Rooms are threadbare and generally in considerable disrepair (our balcony sliding glass door was "weather-stripped" with duct tape). In April 2005 The Howard Johnson Inn & Conference Center (Former Wausau Inn) Has gone through a multi-million dollar renovation under new ownership beautifully updates this landmark property while enhancing all 120 guestrooms and suites. Please come and see the changes!
