My son and I visited Bear Paw on Labor Day weekend for their Kayak 101 review class. We were impressed by their facilities and hospitality. Everyone was very friendly and we enjoyed our trip down the Wolf River. My son even learned to roll his kayak after only his third time in a whitewater kayak. I would recommend this place for anyone who is interested in paddling.

Bear Paw Inn provides excellent quality whitewater and sea kayaking courses, and many folks return year after year. Staff is knowledgeable, safety is a concern, and there is the opportunity to expand from group classes to individual lessons, and to test out different kayaks.Many courses include set meals from a kitchen directed by an excellent and innovative cook. Lodging ranges from camp sites to "inn rooms", and the atmosphere is cordial and casual.Other activities include fly fishing, snowshoeing, and biking but I am a kayaker and know little about them.Love the place! more
