Hubby and I stayed here early May. We had a wonderful time. We stayed in the Loft room. The jacuzzi was perfect size for both of us. We had a perfect and beautiful view of the Wisconsin River from our room (not sure how it would look once the trees in our path are in full bloom though, but there is a perfect spot for viewing the River right outside your door). One reason we chose the Loft Room was because of the open window (or closed if you prefer) that opened up so you could see the bedroom area from the jacuzzi. I could live in the jacuzzi and my hubby loves his movies, so it felt like we were still somewhat together even if we were apart. The room was clean. If you are a woman that needs a lot of space for all your cosmetics and all that for getting ready, there is very limited sink space for that...but minor detail. We were there in the slow season and they could not provide breakfast so we got a $12.00 credit. We had breakfast and cofee at Bella Goose by the Dam and it was great! We will definitely be staying here again.

This inn was closed for 2 years and is under new ownership as a family run place. The check in is at the main building (blue siding) but the property includes both B&B and motel style accommodations around the parking lot. If you’re booking online, I noticed Priceline and Expedia did not show the same rooms, so if you want the B&B custom room feel, make sure you’re not booking through Priceline which only shows motel rooms. We chose the Lily Room (names have changed with ownership change but it’s the Gate House upper level) for our anniversary couples getaway and it was perfect for us, with balcony river views and jacuzzi/ walk in shower. Breakfast is not up and running yet so it’s just an inn until more repairs are made but we didn’t mind because there are so many places to eat within walking distance, so it saves on parking meters to just leave your car at the inn and walk Broadway.

My significant other and I stayed here for our first night of our trip. I would say their concept is interesting. It was a little different for us as we our used to a regular-type of hotel. This was a room inside of a house with other rooms down the hallway from ours. There was a kitchen, dining room, living room, main bathroom, and other miscellaneous areas on the main floor that we had access to. We did have to always lock the door to our bedroom and the door to the house for safety.
Our room was called the English Rose. We had our own bathroom with a toilet and shower inside the bathroom. The sink was near the bed, which I wasn’t a fan of. The room was kind of muggy for me and I kept on the window air condition unit, but I woke up feeling a bit sick, because of it. The shower was a bit of an issue, because it would switch temperatures sporadically and becoming very hot. I did let someone know before we checked out, so I hope the issue is resolved for future visitors.
Overall, it was a unique experience. I was a bit creeped out by it at first, but I adapted after a bit. I’d say it’s worth it to try for the experience and for the location if you’re wanting to be near the shopping strip.

We stayed in the main house for 2 nights. The place has potential. Our room was spacious and pretty much everything worked. The bed was comfortable and jacuzzi was relaxing. Our room looked out over the pool which was a nice size for the property. I was a little put off by the extra charge for using a credit card and that the B&B was not serving breakfast. Neither was a deal breaker, but should have been disclosed in advance. The location was very good. It is a couple blocks from the main business district and the River Walk is across the street. In the evening you can hear a good band playing at the restaurant across the street.
Why the poor rating? The second night other guests set up a grill next to the house and our room got very smoky. They set up a large boom box next to the pool which caused our entire bedroom to vibrate to the bass. There was yelling, screaming, and doors slamming till the early hours of the morning, even though everyone was supposed to be quiet after 11.
The owners and management need to decide if they want to be a relaxing bed and breakfast as advertised or Animal House. Based on the first night, I would return with a few reservations, but after the second, I would definitely not return.

Needed to cancel a reservation 12 days before arrival. 10% deposit was not refunded. E-mail from White Rose Inn states "Travelers who cancel 72 hours or more before 4:00 PM CST on the day of check-in are charged no fee." This clearly indicates to me that the deposit should have been refunded. Several e-mails and phone calls were not responded to. The phone was never answered. Would appreciate if the Inn would respond to this in order to clarify the situation for others who may want to reserve.

The motel rooms aren't fancy but they are clean. They have a smart TV, fridge, and microwave. We were there for two nights and anytime we talked with the desk clerk, he was very friendly and accommodating. A short walk behind the lodging complex opens up to a city park overlooking the river. Just across the street is a very good "Up North" style restaurant with a balcony with dining seating overlooking the gardens and water. This place is only two blocks from the very busy downtown Wisconsin Dells main street so you can choose to be a part of that or sit back and relax away from the crowds and enjoy the view. There is often live music in several walkable locations downtown so no real need to hop in the car unless you want to go to the waterpark part of town. We will stay there next time we are in the area!

Before I took a good look at my receipt a day after checking out I was going to give a solid 5 star review. Now, after discovering an extra $16.62 charge for actually using a credit card to pay for our 4 night stay I think they earn ZERO stars for that sneaky fee.
I don’t know about most people, but I just don’t carry around $475.00 cash in my pocket to AVOID an extra fee. Even though I wasn’t warned in advance of this extra fee it don’t matter since again I don’t carry $475 cash…. Really!

My husband and I frequent the Wisconsin Dells, and we typically rotate between the Wilderness properties and The White Rose Inns. We do so, as we have easier access to different attractions, restaurants, and bars. We prefer not to drive, as parking is a pain when busy, and Uber’s/Lyfts seem rather limited during busy times. Location is very crucial. Regardless, we love the White Rose! As newly weds (slightly older, both married prior) we remarried at the Dells Bells, August of 2021. We eloped, but also had very few relatives there. During that time, our small group utilized Lily’s Suite, Gardener’s Suite, Jane’s Escape, as well as the English Rose. Everyone was very pleased. Beautiful suites, as well as attentive, kind staff. Please keep in mind, this is an older property; however, the rooms I’ve experienced have updates. I absolutely love older properties-just me :)
We have also stayed in the Maid’s Quarter’s Suite 2 weeks prior to our elopement/wedding. And as of recently, just spent Valentine’s Day (2022) weekend in the Loft Suite. We were very pleased with both rooms. We plan on returning to The White Rose late March!
The location is AMAZING. You are within walking distance to the Downtown Dells! Broadway is the original mainstream of the Wisconsin Dells. It saddens me that most people see this area as strictly cheesy tourism, and zero culture. It’s in a sense both. I could go on, but this review is for the White Rose. With that said, 5 plus stars!!!!
Additionally, the staff that we encountered were extremely kind. The gentleman that checked us in actually remembered us! Where we come from (Minneapolis, MN), it’s completely unheard of unless you regular an establishment daily/weekly, or are extremely wealthy with a commercial name. I genuinely appreciate the kindness and warmth of this establishment. See you again very soon! Thank you!

We booked the Parlour Room in the Main House for one night. The room had the Victorian feel and furnishings, except the couch and chair were torn in several places and stained. The carpet was stained in several areas. The room seemed clean, just needs new furniture and carpeting. The King bed was comfortable with clean sheets , blanket, although comforter had what looked like an old set in blood stain. The bathroom was clean, but shower is hard to manipulate and get a comfortable temperature. The breakfast was good andhot with lots of choices. This room just needs some TLC. The location is great to walk to shops and restaurants.

This was our first visit to the White Rose, but not our last. Wonderful bed and breakfast in a great location. It is along the River Walk and one block from the businesses downtown. We stayed in the Sage Room, located in the Sherman House. A good sized room with a private bath. We had a large group who were able to meet in the beautiful common room and enjoyed the dining room. There is a well equipped kitchen that we did not take advantage of. There also a large enclosed porch area for watching the river. We enjoyed the fireplace and the provided games. The breakfast was a big surprise, plenty of fresh cooked food and a large dining room with windows overlooking the river walk. The staff was friendly and helpful. We are already planning our next visit.
