This is a like a little city. It is HUGE! We got lots of exercise exploring without ever stepping outdoors. The decor is pleasantly rustic. We had easy access to nice outdoor trails. more
Reading many of the reviews you have to understand a couple of things. First you at a destination for children, it will be noisy and crowded. It is a waterpark not a hotel for a romantic getaway. I have stayed there several times and enjoy it. We often get a $79 mid-week rate. Check the website for specials and sign... more
The rooms were great and our children loved that they had bunk beds, the cost was average for the Dells. The rooms were clean and the service was good. What we didn't care for was that the pools and activities were so spread out. You either had to walk a large distance or call for a shuttle. We had a... more
We stayed in a condo in Oct. 2009. These condos are not kept up at all. There were big chips in the tile floor that could cut a toe. The whirlpool tub was not working the thermostat did not work. The doors on the closet were off the hindges. When we called to get them fixed the maintanance man could... more
We stayed at the Wilderness for two nights at the end of October. Our room rates were very reasonable - $99 for Thursday night and $130 for Friday night, plus a $19 resort fee (?). We were traveling with another family, and checked in at noon. One of our rooms was ready, which was nice. We had asked for adjoining... more
The hotel itself was a nice place to stay. However, if you are going to the Wilderness, you obviously care the most about the water parks. we stayed 3 nights here and were very happy on Wednesday when there were not alot of other people in the waterpark. On Thursday we did notice that there were a considerable amount of... more
We arrived on Thursday evening. Check-in took less than 2 minutes, but had to be done at another section of the resort since the desk at the Wild West was closed for the evening. No problem--we just drove over to the main reception area. Friday morning and afternoon were wonderful at the waterparks. We visited the Wild Waterdome and Klondike... more
Very nice, clean room. The water parks were fun. However, the obsessiveness of the lifeguards completely ruined the trip for me. I understand that safety is a priority. However, when they blow their whistle at you just for sitting on the edge of the kiddie pool (I guess it's ok to stand, not sit), or my 3yo getting a whistle... more
The kids loved the waterparks and various activities (laser tag, mini-golf, etc.). The adults however weren't very impressed. The waterparks were chilly, not only the rooms themselves but also the water in the pools. The hot tubs weren't very hot. And it was all overcrowded. The size of this place is amazing. Too many families all trying to use the... more
