By far the BEST place we have ever stayed at in Wisconsin. The owners are delightful, kind & so accommodating. We enjoyed so many of the amenities offered such as bags, ping pong, paddle boats & canoes. This is truly a family resort, there’s nothing more you could ask for. Thank you for a wonderful stay and beautiful memories we will cherish forever . We DEFINITELY will be back!!

I had a tough order to fill to accomodate everyone in my party. This place had it all. from a cozy relaxing room #16, to a clean beach, and a nightly campfire. far enough from the hustle and bustle close enough to go to (a 5 min drive to the strips. Enough to do at the resort for the kids to play and you can relax, cozy enough for seniors, fun enough right outside your door for a 6 year old, and eerything in between for all other ages and again close enough to visit downtown and strip areas and come back an relax. Owners are completely accomodating and have most last minute things available right in the office!

My mom, 18 year old daughter, bff, and her 18 year old daughter all stayed in the beach house for the week of the 4th. From the moment we got there, we fell into this place. Chris and Linda were like family and offered tips and hints on how to get around and have a great vacation. This place is not like the upscale resorts that have all the new fangled amenities but it has what you need for a fun family vacation. I would most definitely stay here again. Maybe September.....

We were 2 couples that stayed in #10. A 2 bedroom with a kitchen and living room with a sofa bed. The place is small, a little tight but just fine if you are not planning of staying in the room for your stay. The bed was a size double. It was very comfortable. Everything was provided but paper towels, bath towels and shampoo. The kitchen had all of the utensils and dishes you need. There was good reception of TV and our internet was a little slow but worked just fine. Not sure why some of the reviews had issues with the boats. I found there to be no issue with them. The canoes were just fine. I did not take the row boats out but they looked fine also. The beach volleyball was in good shape. Right next to the lake. There was a fire pit all lit up that night. Wish I had more time to spend there. The resort had folks that had been coming for 20,30 and 40 years. It is that kind of place. A lot of small kids play equipment. The beach was small but nice and the sand was just fine. Little pan fish swimming off the pier. There were many charcoal grills. Some I would not use so you had to look for one that was in great shape. We ended up using a smoker grill for our steaks. They turned out great. You have to bring your own charcoal. Decent price right on the lake. No resort fees. I would stay here again.…

Thank you for your wonderful review! From our conversation on the the phone, I know you had some concerns. I am so happy everything worked out. It's hard to believe none of the grills are more than 2 seasons old. They do take a beating! I just purchased 3 new grills for next season. We our constantly replacing them. I'm just very happy the 4 of you enjoyed yourself. Next year you have to stay longer. Linda

My family of 4 stayed there last weekend (cabin 14) and enjoyed it very much. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The beds were smaller (full size?) but comfortable. WiFi was weak but that's just fine with us....kids couldn't play much on their devices. Fishing was pretty good which was what my boys were interested in. They caught mostly panfish but also a few catfish and a 15" Walleye. The lake was busy on Saturday and Sunday of course but that was to be expected. Very quiet early and late in the day on the lake. We rented a pontoon next door and it was perfect for what we wanted. ($125 for 4 hours...nice!) We watched the Tommy Bartlett ski show for free from the boat but it was disappointing and we pulled the anchor early. This is definitely a family place, not a party place for guests. The owners were very nice and welcoming. We didn't use the free waterpark passes as it was a fairly quick trip (3 nights) and we had plenty to do at the resort and around town. It's a smaller resort but you can't beat the peace and quiet, small beach area, free rowboat/canoe usage, fishing, campfire, etc. for the price. If you haven't sold it by the next time we come....we'll be back!…

I thank you for taking the time to review my resort.I"m happy all had fun. Yes the beds are full size. If we could fit queen size in the bedrooms we certainly would. The full beds give the cabin a "cozy" feel! Thank you again. We would love to see you next season! Linda

We come to the Dells every summer and look to try a new place. This year the Sandrift was it. Linda and Chris were so friendly and accommodating. The rooms were spacious and warm with everything you might need by the lake from cookwear and coffee pot to activities outside. Plus Chris builds a fire every evening. We will return again for sure. Try this hidden gem out!!

We're sorry this review's been long overdue but my husband and I took a chance of an "uncharted" adventure and selected this resort and we do not regret it. The ownes were friendly and helpful about popular sights recommendation to see in the Dells. Although the location of this resort is quiet and few minutes drive to the main attractions, you'll be guaranteed a good night's sleep. I really like how the resort has a kitchen so you can cook rather than have to go out to restaurants. We'll definitely return here whenever we can!

I recently stayed here with extended family and was extremely underwhelmed by the experience. While it was great that we were able to have our entire party of 19 at the same location, the location left a lot to be desired. In reviewing the available information before arrival I wasn't expecting much from the place - the musty smells virtually came through the screen. Somehow the real life experience failed to live up to even those low expectations. From the mismatched furniture, to the mattresses that needed replacement years ago, to the dank lighting in most spaces there wasn't much that I would consider a plus about the accommodations. In addition to this the limited supplies that were provided and required occasional replacement (toilet paper, dish soap, coffee filters) were all bargain basement versions and in the case of the dish soap it was clear that water had been added to extend the life of the bottle in an effort to avoid providing fresh supplies. While the resort also has plenty of activities available, most were worn out or in some state of disrepair. There were several canoes, but no where near enough paddles for them all to be out on the water and many of the canoes leaked. The paddle boats that were available were filthy from other guests and also tended to take on water, so much so that a member of my party almost capsized the one she was trying to use. The rowboats were in the best condition, but years of being left out in the elements also left them in less than desirable condition. There were plenty of life jackets available for use, but most were child sized and at times it was difficult to find any for adults. To be fair, the bag toss games were in good shape and provided plenty of amusement for our group, and there were a handful of what appeared to be fairly new barbeque grills included in the assortment of grills that were on the grounds. These few investments in the property don't come close to making it a desirable place to be, just trying to find something positive to say about the property. Finally, prior to arrival we contacted the resort several times about the fact that we were planning to bring a emotional support service animal with us to ensure they knew about it and to square away any issues before arrival since the resort had a no pets policy. Despite these attempts on our part and assurances by the owners before arrival we were greeted within moments of arrival with a stern "No PETS!" proclamation from the owner that led to my wife and son becoming very upset and nervous - the exact reason for needing the service dog with us. Ultimately my wife made the decision to board the dog locally, but this was an expense we did not plan on having. The real irony is that the owners have a dog of their own, and on multiple occasions we saw the dog do its business on a balcony directly above guests and food. The truly sad thing is that the location on the lake was awesome and if only the owners would invest more in the property to make it look nicer and provide some modern touches it could be a great destination in an area that is increasingly being taken over by the monstrosity that is Mt. Olympus. However, I think the owners are trying to sell and so they likely won't make any improvements since they seem to want to get out of the business. They even propositioned a member of my party to buy the place at a "discounted" rate that is still an overvaluation for what the property currently is based on our experience.…

I have been studying your review for months. I had no idea you were so disappointed! I didn't know how to respond.I wish you would have come into the office to discuss your issues. First the patriarch of your family made all the reservations and chose the units. He also paid for everything. We have a sign posted in the kitchen informing all our guest if they need extra supplies come to the office. When anything was needed it was always given to you. No questions asked. We do not dilute the dish washing soap, we use ultra ajax. As far as the boats, you were outside. Didn't you see the kids filling them with water and tipping them. We were constantly asking them to stop. The parents were no help. We were short canoe paddles because guests were using them to row the row boats. We saw a little girl take a paddle and throw it in the water off the end of the dock. My husband found the father and asked him to get it out of the water. As for life jackets, guests do not know how to hang them up when their done with a boat. They pile up on the floor of the boats. Also, guests use them to swim. About the dog. Per law I can not reject a service animal. All we asked is if he kept barking the situation would need to be reevaluated. Now the paper work you gave me was NOT in compliance for a emotional support. You had a document printed off the internet that was not in compliance. For a emotional support animal the attending psychiatrist must fill out paperwork and sign. I knew this and was willing to let the dog stay. You needed to do something about the constant barking. I had a lovely conversation with many of you the evening before you left. No one gave me a indication of any problems. Jeff I believe you and your wife work for Disney in Fla. We had a great conversation about the Magic Kingdom. You even invited me to bring my grandchildren for a visit. How could you be so nice to my face and then try to destroy me on the internet.
