We were disappointed with this motel. The room was quite large but the beds were small - little more than a large single bed really and we had booked a room for 2 couples. As well as the cramped beds there was a lot of noise either from the A/C unit if you put that on or from the railway... more

The only people who were nice was the housekeeping supervisor. Had a couple of minor problems and asked to see a manager. I was handed over to a woman named Abby who I think knew less than anyone at the hotel. I demanded to see the General Manager and was given some woman from China who could barely speak English... more

Traveled with three kids 17-23 years of age. They left doors open to the outside . . . didn't make me feel safe. The room was ok clean - but severely outdated. There were stains on carpet, tiles broken in bathroom. The air conditioning worked so-so. The pool had so much chlorine in it that we couldn't even stay in... more

We had to move to 3 different rooms before we could accept staying here....and only because we'd prepaid for the room and couldn't cancel. No A/C in the rooms...only a blower with a washing-machine type hose strung out a gap in the window to try to bring in some cooler air. It was a typical hot summer day in WY... more

This hotel should be avoided at all costs! It should only be rated 1 star. The going rate is $119, which is ridiculous. I took a chance through Priceline and asked for a 2.5 star hotel and got this slum. The outside looks like the place might not even be open. Broken glass in the parking lot, exterior doors wide... more

I checked in after 9:00 at night, after a long drive. The front desk clerk was courteous, but that's the nicest thing I could say about my stay. When I got to my room I bent down to get the luggage rack out of the closet and picked up off what I thought was a terrycloth hair band off the... more

The staff are negligent... the rooms are in poor condition (carpet had huge tears in the doorway, they lied about the wireless internet, the "complimentary breakfast" is unarguably the worst I've ever had, there were no towels in the pool and I am about 90% certain one of the staff who admitted to having our son's wallet in his possession... more

We were scheduled to stay in Wheatland, Wyoming that night but after riding several hundred miles on our motorcyles we made several phone calls to hotels in Cheyenne and decided on the Hitching Post. We were quoted a price of $89.99. With no soap, decaf coffe, no tv, one towel and not internet service we were also charged $131.99. I... more

Yes, The Hitching Post is outdated. It could use some work. Considering the age of the building, there are many things that could be fixed. The staff had fixed several things while my family and I were there. I realize they are working with what they have. It could benefit from better upper management. The staff was really friendly and... more
