The actual hotel was fine and the continental breakfast was decent, but the service was poor. When I called to make a reservation the first time their computers were down and the second time the owner accidentally hung up on me. This should have been my first clue to go elsewhere, but I stuck with the Prospector hotel because the photos on the Internet looked good and the price seemed right. When we got there they had our reservation incorrect and ended up charging us for an extra night's stay (the night before we were to arrive). He argued with us that he could have rented the room out to other people. Because of this comment and the fact that they had charged us for the room already, we assumed that they would have the room available immediately when we arrived (around 11 am), although they didn't.
