We stayed here with no reservation while traveling cross country. Room was clean and comfy. Bed was a little firm for my liking (seemed like an older mattress) But the value of the room was great. Neat historical pictures in each room. Yep, its really just a glorified motel, but it was clean, comfy and had some nice touches. The... more

I chose this hotel because it said it was historic. Seems like they are not finished updating it yet. We got their condo suite so that our young son could have his own sleeping area-- it was huge. An entire apartment, really. It was pretty well set-up, but not really finished, as I said. The location was terrible. There are... more

Called the desk from our car and got a rate. Called back later and was quoted a higher rate. Finally booked a room at the original rate. It was so small we could reach out and touch both walls. The bathroom was about the size of an RV's. Front desk people were disinterested at best. Scanned my drivers' license like... more

We had booked a Q room but decided that we wanted either a King or 2 queens. Was told by the front desk that they only had a King honeymoon suite with a jacuzzi for $30 more. We said ok, sight unseen. Got to our room and could hardly get the door open - seemed that it had been painted... more

The bed was made with only a sheet (poor quality linens) over a mattress with no pad. The mattress itself appeared to be manufactured in Mexico with less than 1/4 inch of padding over the innersprings. Overall, the room was slightly grubby; expecially the bathroom floor and the dust bunnies hanging from the ceiling. Between the truly awful bed and... more

This is a good but not really special place to stay, but a definite good alternative to the generic choices at the interstate exits. Rooms are similar to the big chains, and are much bigger (and less smelly) than what you'd find in the string of old roadside tourist motels along the main strip in Billings. (We checked in and... more

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel (especially after a long drive)...quite a charming place, and a lot of history behind the hotel. (Be sure to check out the hotel's website for historical info). We booked a suite at this hotel. The hotel staff were all friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our room. No frills, but clean and sufficient... more

Was directed here by other no vacancy properties. the rooms were very generic hotel rooms. our room was on the front of the property with lots of traffic noise all night. the continental breakfast was substantial. however, I had a problem with the waffle maker and there was no attendant to help. completely self service. more

In investigating the Mill Inn, you may learn that it is on a "national historic register" list. You may also assume from this that it has some real historic charm and the word "Inn" in the name supports this assumption. Let me be clear, the Mill is an average motel property..nothing more. There is one slow and over-used elevator that... more

I have to say how much we enjoyed our stay here for one full week! We came for the Buffalo Bill's day events, and I gotta' tell ya' the desk staff couldn't have been more down to earth and friendly! Dayle was a little hard to warm up to at first, but by the second day, he was great! We... more
