I have had the privilege of visiting Spear-o-Wigwam three times. It is a magical place high up in the Big Horn mountains outside Sheridan Wyoming. Built in the 1920's it is essentially untouched by the modern world. Surrounded by towering pines, it is a world apart. Unhurried and relaxed, after a couple of days you release all the tension and begin to enjoy a long forgotten world. There are many lakes to discover in the area, ghost towns to pass on your horseback rides. If you enjoy horseback riding then this is the place for you. Your rides into the wilderness will become some of the fondest memories of your life. The untouched scenery is breathtaking. The accommodations are in private cabins, very rustic and still very comfortable. Afternoons are spent hiking, swimming or just relaxing with a good book.
