Ok, this is a historic place, built in the 1929, owned by apparently the same japanese family since then (Inaba), and please note, I LOVE japanese people, but this place was, to say the least, a real disappointment. Ok, it is cheap, only 40$ per night/room (double or triple). OK, the true spirit of Aloha is all over the places there, Ok it is in the artistic neighborhood but...
My husband kept on saying, before we got here: Yes, it has shared bathrooms, but it is clean, yes, the place is old but the people are clean and nice, etc.
Really? Well, I guess me and my husband have different ideas about cleanliness, and I have been in shared bathroom accommodations before. The shared bathrooms here were a real disaster, a gloomy, creepy place which has definitely not been cleaned for weeks (I am trying to be optimistic here). I was afraid to go and take a shower because you never know what can come out of there...All the rest of the place is a real mess, they don't clean...
