If you are looking for a fancy honeymoon resort type place this is not it. The place is very cozy and pretty quiet (off of the main road). I'm not sure why there are comments about staff being rude or roaches cause I didn't have that experience. I would definitely stay here again based on overall location and price. Basically... more

Aloha! We went to Waimea to attend my Aunts' 80 birthday party! We had alot of our family members staying at the inn, so it was nice and cozy! We stayed in the Maunakea Wing which is a newer side of the property and we had nice, clean, spacious room. The sitting area was located outside, and the coffee/ pastry... more

We stayed at the motel on Sat. March 7. We thought our room was very cute (Mauna Kea Wing) as were the sitting areas. Yes, it smelled a bit musty, but it was clean and comfortable, and that was all we needed. Avoid the pop machine though, my Diet Pepsi was dated June 2007! Good BBQ nearby at Hula Sue's. more

We stayed at this motel for 3 nights. The country town Waimea has not that much to do, but from there we went to Maune Kea. We had a spacious room with kitchen. The Kamuela Inn is priced good, but our room was pretty dirty (especially the kitchen). This motel is fine for people with a budget. more

My son and I enjoy our stays at the Kamuela Inn. Your staff have always been so nice to us. We checked in last evening and Lee was very nice. So was Wena when we checked out this morning. I was reluctant to leave because I wanted to stay another night to check out the New Year scene in Waimea.... more

I taught a class in Waimea and wanted to stay close to the training site. I found Kamuela Inn to be comfortable and clean and loved the weather. Eating establishments are nearby and a grocery store is also located in town. I really didn't need anything fancy and the Inn fit the bill. Staying in Waimea afforded me an opportunity... more

I've never written online reviews but felt compelled to warn people about this hotel!!!! I never even ended up staying here because the management people were so rude. Lee, the desk manager, could not have been worse. I called to book well in advance. A local friend had recommended the place. I was told that all cancellations had to be... more

After reading mixed reviews, I booked it, and was glad I did. I stayed two nights in the $59 a night room. It was clean and cozy. The twin beds were comfy, the tv had great reception, the bathroom was fine [ok a little mildew on the ceiling]. The owner was a wonderful woman, very helpful and friendly. The cont.... more

As others have noted, you get what you pay for at this roadside motel. I was a bit fooled by the inn's web site, which led me to believe it was a bit more cheerful, bright and had character. None of the above. There's little difference between this place and any Motel 6. Small rooms. Dank, worn interiors. And very... more

Cheap but clean simple rooms. A place to get a 1 night reservation, a rare find. Save money and stay here and splurge at one of the fancy restaurants. more
