We recently stayed 3 nights with Kenny and Kilohana for the beginning of a triple stay and play at Kalaekilohana, Ka'awa Loa Plantation and Waianuhea. What a wonderful way to begin our vacation! Kenny and Kilohana are the very best at making you feel at home in their home from the warm welcome, the evening talks on the lanai, to... More

We " were on the circle BB: waianuhea, plantation and here". The ideal trilogy for a "discovery trip" on this island. Kalaekilohana is an ideal spot between kona and the volcano: not to far from kona: you have the time to stop a few times before your arrival from Kona (beaches ....) and you don't have to run to be... We stayed at Kalaekilohana for three nights, for a visit to our one of our sons, who was staying nearby at Pacific Quest. All four of the couples staying when we did were there visiting their children at PQ, and Kenny and Kiilohana provided a friendly and relaxed haven. My husband and I arrived a full 4 hours before check-in.... More

We stayed here for three nights as part of a 9 night stay at 3 different B&B's on different parts of the island. The stay here was wonderful, mostly because of the care taken by the hosts, Kenny and Kilohana. They are just charming and made us feel at home in their home. Kilohana is a native craftsman and offers... More

We recently returned from a 9 night stay around the Big Island. Our middle 3 night stay with Kenny and Kilohana was the best part of the trip! They are the consummate hosts, not only providing us with excellent food and drink but also with many delightful evening hours of conversation out on the lanai. Evening dining options in the... More

We stayed at Kalaekilohana for 4 nights, and loved every bit of it. Kenny and Kilohana are wonderful hosts. They have thought of everything for their rooms. Plenty of fluffy towels, fabulous pillows, comfortable beds, light down blankets, cotton sheets, great toiletries, robes, candy by the bedside--you name it, they have thought of it. The public rooms are all for... More

Kenny and Kilohana run a perfect place!! Everything was first class in all ways. We also very much appreciated the guest laundry facility which few other B&B's offer. If we manage to visit again, we will stay longer for sure. Steve & Annette in New Mexico

From the moment we stepped out of the car and were greeted by name to the final hugs goodbye we felt welcome and comfortable. The rooms are beautifully appointed yet relaxed and spacious. Breakfast was always fresh and presentation was well thought out from the accents on the table to the way the fruit was splayed across the dish. Kenny... More

We were pleasantly surprised by this wonderful B&B. We didn't know what to expect as we drove to South Point from Kona, as the landscape you experience can be desolate in areas...."this is Hawaii?" we thought with some dismay! However, very soon the scenery is beautiful and as you approach Kalaekilohana you know you are in for something special. Kenny... More

The room is very neat, clean, nicely decorated, spacious and comfortable. The bed is soft and the breakfast is awesome! Kenny and Kilohana are very very nice and helpful. They provide free wine, soft drink, cheese and snacks everyday. They even got up to fix to-go sandwiches for us when we left for the airport at 4am. We will never... More
