I have never felt more welcomed or pampered. All our needs were taken care of. Beautiful cottage and surroundings. Comfortable bed and the wi-fi was awesome! I could have stayed here forever - - - really! more

We just want to reiterate the positive reviews about Kate's Volcano Cottage. What makes this a "hidden gem" is it's secluded location in lush surroundings; the beautiful wood work of the cottage handcrafted by Kenneth (one of the proprietors); the cottage's closeness to the farmer's market, restaurants, and convenience store; and the home comfort amenities such as the comfortable bed,... more

We stayed for 4 nights from May 31st thru June 4th 2009. We got there at night and we had absolutely no problems geting to the cottage . Kahi Malu is an excellent cottage for family with children - 2 bedrooms. The cottage is situated right next to the Volcanoes national Park and we felt like we were living in... more

We stayed at this cottage at the recommendation of a friend and we were very pleased with accommodations and the locations. The cottage is comfortable with a well-stocked kitchen, lovely bathroom, comfortable bed, and a nice sitting area. There were plenty of maps and guidebooks to peruse and Kathryn spent time going over them with us and talking about what... more

This cottage really is just like the photo's on the website - perhaps a little better. It is country, cute, and clever. Plus you have excellent hosts who are caring and generous. We had a visit of three nights which was perfect for us. The cottage is very close to the entrance of Volcano National Park (seniors, remember your pass.)... more

My family of 11 stayed in all 3 Volcano Places cottages for two nights in early April. My husband and I and our son had the pleasure of staying in Nohea. We found it to be everything you will read in the other reviews, and more. The cottage is a work of art. Everything is exquisitely hand-crafted of Douglas Fir.... more

It seems redundant, but this was the nicest place we stayed in our 2-week trip, the owners were really nice via e-mail, and we felt like we were in the middle of a magic forest. The tub was fantastic and the kitchen was sweet and stocked with condiments and coffee, and we did laundry! The artwork was fine too- they... more

We had the pleasure of staying at Nohea for 3 nights for the second year in a row. After we found Nohea last year we knew we had found the perfect Volcano lodging. Every single detail has been thoughtfully taken care of, making this the most relaxing and comfortable place we have ever stayed. From the exquisite craftsmanship of this... more

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights (got in on New Year Eve night) and the place was great and the pictures on the website captured the place. We wanted to stay nearby since we wanted to spend a few days exploring the volcano park and volcano is great town to do that. The park is literally 1-2... more

Worth every penny. We loved this place. Its clean, quite, cosy and very comfortable. Best customer service we had ever experienced. Kathryn and Kenneth are the sweetest people ever. They provide all the amenities you need to move around the volcano national park. In short, a home away from home. more
