My husband and I was upgraded to the Hale O'mao Cottage which has two bedrooms with a fully equipped kitchen and a lovely sitting and dining area with huge picture windows all around the cottage. This cottage was 'engulfed' with rainforest trees and foliage which makes it seem like you are right in the middle of the jungle. Altho' it... more

We Stayed in the Tree House. What a lovely place. The wrap around deck delighted you with different views and places to leisurely drink your morning coffee. The kitchen is fully equipped to handle a dinner party for eight!! We loved our accommodations, as well as Joan's (the inn keeper) delicious daily breakfasts which were served in gracious style. more

The 3 bedroom Pukeawe cottage was a good choice since we had a mix of 5 family & friends in our group. A great location close to the Volcano & town. Everything you need including internet & bird feed for the wildlife visitors. Bring food since the local restaurants & stores are a little pricey. more

We stayed in the queen room at country goose for a night. The location is very convenient, close to the park and the town. The room was of moderate size, but very comfortable. Volcano does get quite a bit of rain. If you like lots of light in the room, this might not be the best choice. The town of... more

After 5 weeks island hopping in Hawaii this year, and a 4 week trip 3 years ago, this is the best place we have stayed. On both trips we stayed in Country Goose rental homes when in Volcano, with breakfasts supplied by Joan at her place. The houses are always comfortable and spacious. This time we stayed in the Hale... more

We stayed here one night of 11, to be close to the park. Upon check-in, we realized that even though we had reserved the King room, she had checked us into the Queen room and when questioned, she was adamant that it was the King room (even though she admitted to having a queen sized bed in that room). And... more

I'd found reviews of Country Goose Bed and Breakfast on Trip Advisor. We were looking for a place close to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and being lovers of big breakfasts, the descriptions of Joan Earley's feasts sounded like something we'd enjoy! I'd booked our two night stay several weeks earlier and told Joan that we'd be arriving between 5:00pm and... more

We stayed 3 nights in what I believe is the King Room - it was a largish room attached to the main house, with an ensuite and walk-in robe. The main room is about 6 m X 4 m. The room is welcoming and comfortable and with a lot of wet weather we made good use of the 2 leather... more

We stayed at the Hale Iki (small house) cottage, part of the Country Goose B&B in Volcano, HI for two nights. Hale Iki is a 20x20 cedar cottage with a loft bedroom. The downstairs walls are are about 50% glass sliding doors, giving an unparalleled view of the forest surrounding the cottage on all sides. A fully-equipped kitchen makes it... more
