We stayed in a beautiful and comfortable room at this B&B. We had a small private porch where we could relax in the evenings and a great comfy bed to rest in after hiking around Volcano National Park. I had never stayed at a bed and breakfast before so I really didnt know what to expect. I was only concerned that we had our own bathroom which we did. We found the Bamboo Orchid by an internet seach but the lodge was just as portayed...and then some. Nestled in the quiet country woods was this beautiful bed and breakfast, just minutes from Volcano National Park, with great accomodations, a well done breakfast and and a most congenial host. Staying at the Bamboo Orchid Cottage was a wonderful experience made even better by the service the manager, Gary Benoit, provided. We stayed in the Enchanted Forest bedroom which was a large room with a queen size bedthat was surrounded by a lush forested area. I stayed 3 nights @ the Bamboo Orchid Cottage. I absolutely loved it. I cannot say enough wonderful things. This was just the beginning of my trip, but it helped relax and escape from the reality of home. I fully intend on staying again on my next trip. more
