I was a little apprehensive of booking a place here, however, none of my fears were realised. It is a way away from other places, down near the end of the road of the village, if it can even be called that. However, if you want to visit the Volcanoes National Park, I'd stay in this area. We stayed on... More

Great location: a short distance to Volcanoes National Park. And not difficult to find (regardless of the inn's website warning), Lovely grounds with lots of vegetation. Extremely clean. Downsides: Notes and labels everywhere telling you what to do and how to do it. It quickly became annoying and very "big brother" like. The breakfast seemed an afterthought. It consisted of... More

This hotel is sort of like a bed and breakfast, not like a full service hotel. There is no daily maid service. They have several rooms, not a lot. But the rooms are very nice and clean and beautiful because they have a lot of wood. Some feel spacious because of the big windows. And they are very clean. This... More

For the price, it was almost unbelievable what a great place this was. Perfectly situated for adventures in Volcanos National Park, it was like staying at grandma's house (with more amenities!) Every morning there were yummy muffins and coffee and the owner said that he had an ad out for someone to come in and do more cooking, which would... More

Spent two nights at the Volcano Inn (January 11 & 12) and found it charming. Room was very clean, linens/towels soft and homey. Good coffee and yummy muffins each morning. Close to Volcano Park. Would recommend to anyone wanting a quiet place with quick access to volcanos. Also, only place in my two week trip to hawaii that had free... More

This was a great hotel to stay at, very cozy and clean in amongst the rain forest. The owner, Ron, was very helpful with adivse and tours around the area. The room was very clean, well stocked and cozy. If you book here, you will not be disappointed. More

We stayed at the Volcano Inn for three nights in August 2011 during our 16-day trip to Hawaii. It was like an oasis in a cool tropical paradise. LOCATION Right at the heart of Volcano, the Volcano Inn is hidden from the road, in the middle of a tropical forest. Our small building contained only two rooms, which shared a... More

My group of three stayed here while on a two day adventure into Volcanoes National Park. The room we got was very large with a small kitchenette, dining room table, and a TV. The room was very clean; it had bath robes, extra blankets and towels already in the room, and pump bottles of body wash, shampoo, and conditioner! On... More

We spent 2 nights in a family room (gecko room) this November. No complaints about the room, location, owners or anything. Room was plenty big for the 6 of us who stayed. There were some dvd's in the room which was nice. Close to the Volcanoes national park. Hot tub was nice. Food in nearby town was very expensive, we... More

Our room was away from the main inn (Three streets away). We were pleasantly surprised to find ourselves in the middle of a rain forest. The room had a beautiful corner picture window looking out into the forest. Not a lot of storage space, I think the rooms are probably for one or two night stays (We stayed 4 nights).... More
