"Best deal in Volcano"; "Looks just like the pictures"; "Like waking up in a tree house"; most frequent comments by our guests. We give you great deal by NOT serving breakfast; coffee and tea supplied in all rooms. Much more private than B&B, less costly and easier than vacation rental. Our rooms are as good or better than anyone else at half the price! Check our sliding discount: The longer you stay; better it gets. more » « less

This was one of the most clean, comfortable and well equiped B & B's that we have ever stayed in. It was all pine lined - like a ski lodge, with a small but adequate and extremely well equipped kitchen, a kitchen table, a sitting room table, large couch, lovely comfy recliner chair, T.V., D.V.D. etc Spacious separate bedroom with... more

We spent 4 nights on the Big Island, in 4 different hotel rooms. This was by far the best value. It was the least expensive of the four, and far and away our favorite. It was not a large room, but it had everything we needed and more. It was exceptionally clean, (nearly everything was new) and it had a... more

This is a great little inn, secluded & quiet, minutes away from the volcano & national park. It is incredibly cheap - but this place would be worth the stay even if it weren't so inexpensive. The rooms are great, meticulously clean, and set in the middle of the rainforest. 2 minutes away are a half dozen eateries for every... more

This review is for the Volcano Inn B&B located 1 mile from the national park. As I understand it there is another similarly named b&b. -------------------------------------- I booked one night at the Volcano Inn to allow enough time to make a trip out to the Volcano Park and the vent (two days really is necessary). Given the price of the... more

We stayed here for a couple of nights in August. We read the reviews and hoped for the best. The owner originally had us booked in the larger and more expensive "Honeymoon" suite due to the lack of availability. I called a week before to see if there were openings, and he said there were and changed us to a... more

I couldn't say how great it is any better than all the other reviewers. I just want to put in my 5 stars worth rating. Although the owner had nothing to do with it, the stars in the sky are worth the trip. Especially if you come from a big city like Chicago where the only star you see is... more

Volcano Inn is located 10 min. to Volcanoes National Parc and about half an hour from Hilo. The rooms are large for this price. Altough it is very cold for Hawaii, there is an heater inside and also a dehumidifyer, as well as an refrigerator and microwave. They are clean and have a queen-sized bed. I would recommend the room... more

We stayed here on the 10th of August and had a wonderful Stay the only regret was we stayed only one night. We were traveling with my parents and they had a room down the back of the property that has a wonderful rainforest view, we had a large room for the four of us 2 adults 2 kids(12,8) nice... more

Just got back from the Volcano Inn & can't tell you what an amazing value this place is! First of all, it is one of the few places (maybe the only?) where they will allow you to book only one night (in advance, without a hassle) - I was touring the Island by myself and needed to get back to... more

We visited late May, 2008. Choices are very limited near Volcano, Island of Hawaii, HI. We only stayed one night as we planned a very tight schedule for our 4 islands tour, but once we arrived, we somewhat regretted that we had to leave so soon. The cottages were actually built by the owner himself, who was a builder in... more
