Wonderful accomodations for the 2 of us-loved the fresh fruits and breads for breakfast each morning. Came to see Volcanoes National Park-ideal location! Sandy and Garret are excellent hosts -very knowledgable of the area for sights and restaurants. Very, very helpful! If we come to the island again we will definitely be staying here-hopefully with friends. The additional accomodations look to... more

We stayed at the Artist's House for two nights, while we explored the Volcano National Park. The house is ideally located for that, as well as for little shops to get your snacks and packed lunch for hiking trips. The breakfast arrangement was fine with us, as it gave us freedom to have breakfast and leave whenever we wanted. We... more

We have stayed for three nights in the ohelo berry cottage and it was absolutely perfect. Nice cottages located in lush gardens of which the owner is very proud. Owners are very friendly and can provide you with lots of information on the surroundings. As a surprise to us it also had a small outside hot tub, perfect after a... more

after leaving the vent and weaving the jagged iridescence, i found myself in Volcano Village. The shaded mossy entrance to Volcano Country Cottages was so lusciously cool and inviting that i waited a day and a bit to have a room before reincorporating myself. i did have a wonderfully toured preview of what to expect during my stay but this... more

This is a hidden gem in volcano Hawaii! We thought we would not want to stay away from the ocean sense we were in Hawaii but decided to stop in Volcano to do the park b/c it was rain so hard we would not be able to enjoy the ocean anyway. We are so glad to have found this amazing... more

This is a great place to stay. Its right next to the National Park, you get your own house, and the grounds are wonderfully jungly. The current owners are extremely helpful and friendly, and full of good advice. I believe that they are trying to sell, but don't let that stop you coming here. The house can get cold; there... more

We stayed two nights in the smallest Berry Cottage, for a great location just minutes from Volcanos National Park. We were pleasantly surprised at just how fantastic a natural setting the property has-- moss covered ancient trees line the driveway in, and you will wake to an amazing variety of colorful songbirds-- more in fact, than the "Bird Park" trail... more

Aloha, Thought we had better correct/explain some information this guest provided: 1. There is a queen size bed in the cottage (not a full size as they mention) 2. There are two rules posted in each house. a) please remove your shoes (Hawaiian custom) b) please wash the dishes (helps to keep the cottage clean and free of pests.) 3....

We just came back from our 4 weeks in Hawaii ( did 4 islands ) and stayed most of the time in b&b's. but the Volcano Country Cottages are so unique …..a real gem ! This is truly a masterpiece and not only the... more

This is maybe the nicest B&B you will ever stay at. We stayed in the Ohia House which is the newest house and most secluded. My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon and had the time of our lives. The house was built in 2006, so everything is new, and it is set-up in a way that it... more

We stayed at Volcano Country Cottages August 9-12, 2008. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon/evening, after spending a week in Maui for a friend's wedding. Given that we'd been there for the wedding and our friend had done a lot of planning for us, we had done nothing when we got to Volcano Country Cottages, other than figure out how... more
