We spent two nights at The Inn at Volcano, part of The Chalet Kilauea Collection, and it was a wonderful place to stay. Located just minutes from the entrance to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. There are not many places to stay in Volcano Village, it is a small town, I believe most people stay in Hilo and drive down to... more

This inn is close to Volcanoes National Park, so it was convenient. The room was clean and comfortable enough, but the service was not great. There was no running water in the morning, and the gentleman at the front desk just shrugged his shoulders and said he didn't know when the water would be back on. No explanation. At least... more

We booked and stayed in the Jade and Africa rooms. The rooms were clean and tidy and very nicely decorated "in theme". The whole ambiance was rustic but stylish, not your run of the mill motel! The common "Ohana Room" was a wonderful place to relax, read and interact with other guests and staff. The grounds are beautiful and a... more

Very calm and relaxing place and the service was amazing. Upon our arrival we immediately got upgraded and wound up in the "Tree House" which was a 2 storey wonderful hut with jacuzzi and a huge king bed...Couldn't be better! Only 5 min from restaurants and the the steaming crater, what a fantastic we had. more

My wife and I stayed one night at this property while we toured volcanos national park. The staff was friendly and helpful. We didn't get as much time to enjoy the reading room or any time to enjoy the hot tub as we were busy in the park. I very much enjoyed the free wireless internet so we could check... more

The inn is literally in what i would call a tropical rainforest. The grounds are beautiful, very lush with a koi pond, bridge, etc. When we arrived (booked on expedia) we were told our 7 month infant would be an additional $25. That was very irritating as our 7 month old doesn't cost a thing and does nothing besides sleep.... more

We stayed in the "Continental Suite." The entrance to the suite is next to an outdoor kitchenette which unfortunately meant proximity to a trash can and lots of flies. The door to the suite opens right into the bathroom (sink and toilet area), which you have to pass through to access the bedrooms. Let's just say that led to some... more

This place has beautiful landscape, but the rooms are dark even when the lights are on. No one was staying at the hotel during the three days when I was there which meant no complementary breakfast. (Complementary breakfast was supposed to be provided with the room). When I approached the front desk, the hotel clerk stated that since I was... more

I'm not a b&b person, so please keep that in mind with this review; we were on our honeymoon and mostly stayed at resorts but wanted one night in volcano to explore the park; chose this place in volcano because it was only for one night, it was in my guidebook, and seemed to be the only place in volcano... more

Located on a quiet residential street in the tiny town of Volcano Village, Chalet Kilauea is a lovely place to stay and the antithesis of the mega resort - not slick, shiny and new, but homey, very tidy and welcoming. It appears to have once been a private residence remodeled into an inn. The grounds are lush and lovely centering... more
