My wife and I recently concluded a week long stay in Hawaii with three nights at this hotel. We were suprised not only that the "mountain view" rooms also had a view of the ocean from the balcony (you had to stand out and look over, but much better than many non-ocean view resort rooms at other properties where your... more

The check in area enclosed in an area with no walls. From the time you walk in the "lobby" you can see the pool and ocean. I didn't know what to expect. Since the lobby was a bit humid that evening, I was a little curious as to what to expect. The nice hallways turned into a nicer room. The... more

We traveled from Philadelphia to the Big Island and the long flights were absolutely worth it. I won the hotel on "Name Your Own Price" through Priceline.com and got a GREAT deal! When we arrived, we picked up our rental car, which you have to get or you miss out on the true beauty of Hawaii. The ride to our... more

We stayed 8 days at the Marriott and we loved it. I compared staying here vs. the Hilton and chose the Marriott for several reasons. Mainly, it was a smaller property located close to shops and restaurants. We planned a lot of day trips including an overnight trip to the Volcano so we weren't planning on just staying at the... more

My husband booked this hotel for our honeymoon. The hotel is quiet big and spacious. When we arrived after an 18 hour flight, we were so tried but he smile and friendliness of the reception girl was warm enough to cool us down plus we were given our room quickly. Room: i liked it, it wasn't too big nor too... more

This hotel is fantastic. We stayed there suring our honeymoon and it was amazing. There were only a handfull of kids around as well. The hotel has 3 pools, sunbeds and cabanas aroudn the pool. There is poolside service from the staff. They also provide beach towels. The food in the restaurant is very good and reasonable value. There is... more

When I pay an average of $18 per entree for breakfast I expect it to be pretty good, even in a resort hotel in Hawaii. The buffet looked great, but we're not buffet people and it was $28. One guest received her meal about 10 minutes before the rest of the table. The food was mediocre, at best and although... more

My wife and I stayed here using points (accrue many as a Platinum member). Even if you had to pay for it, this hotel is a great value. The rooms were clean, and the location perfect. This property isn't quite as nice as the Wailea Beach Marriott on Maui, but that's why it's less expensive and at a lower point... more

We made our first trip to the Big Island from the 12th through the 17th. Landing at the Kona airport and seeing that airport and the surroundings is clearly different. But, after getting our rental car and driving about 20 minutes north up the coast to the Waikoloa makes a difference. We arrived about 1 and our room wasn't ready... more
