We stayed in a one bedroom suite there with a great view of the ocean. The moon was full the first few days we were there and it looked so beautiful - almost fake. The beds are not that comfortable but the view and sounds of the ocean make up for it. We actually ended up sleeping in the living... more

We enjoyed a recent 8 day stay for our daughter's wedding ceremony that was held at Poipu Beach this January. There were a total of 17 of us staying in four of the condos at Kapaa Shores. We found our own oceanfront room on the second floor outstanding. The decor of bamboo furniture was delightful and the rooms were spacious... more

A friend of mine has a timeshare at Kapaa Shores and a bunch of us spent some time on this property. The room was ocean front (make sure your specify that) and the view was absolutely gorgeous. I've been to some gorgeous places in Mexico, but I find that kauai has been the only place that I can truly disconnect... more

Kappa Shore has the basic comforts you'd expect of a timeshare rental. Your overall experience here will probably have a lot to do with what you're accustomed to. If you think Holiday Inn, Comfort Inn , or any number of 3 star hotels, this is pretty much the experience you get. If you're a little more used to 4 or... more

We stayed here only 3 days recently. Overall we thought it was not the fanciest place but a good place to stay if you care about having all the basics covered - cleanliness, fully-stocked kitchen, bbq, lots of stores and shopping nearby. One "basic" it lacks is a beach, as there is lava flow instead, but you are right on... more

Two of us stayed here Mar/Apr for one week, in a one-bedroom on the ground floor. We liked: ocean-front, ocean view room. Clean and comfortable accomodations.Friendly and responsive staff. Pool and spa and bbq's are well-maintained.Tennis court was fun. We didn't like: bedroom is on street side of complex and was noisy with traffic and early morning delivery trucks acroos... more

My family and I traveled to Kauai in the middle of April 2005. The weather was PERFECT.The outside building is not much to look at and doesn't leave a very nice impression. It's just a tired looking apartment building. The check-in room is tiny, tiny and if there are more than 2 people standing it gets extremely crowded. The personnel... more

We stayed here with friends of ours for a full week. The rooms were fine - but there was no a/c. I understand this isn't normally a problem in that area, as most people leave the doors open - but we were not able to that and feel safe. The first night we were there the people between us and... more

The views here are great -- right on the ocean, and east-facing so you get a room full of Hawaiian sun to wake up to. That's wonderful. Right across the street are several "complexes" with some nice restaurants in them. The Lemongrass was pretty good; the "A Pacific Cafe" was fantastic. We ate there on Thanksgiving and again a couple... more
