We chose Hale Puka Ana because it's just a stone's throw across the beach and has a magnificient view of the water. It's also close to to Waimea Canyon and the stunningly gorgeous "remote" Polihale Beach. We weren't disappointed when we arrived and finally saw the place - it looks even nicer than the pictures in its website! Jules greeted... more

My wife and I spent 2 weeks at Hale Puka 'Ana in the Ali'i suite. From the moment we pulled up the drive, our hosts made us feel "at home with Aloha" while on vacation. Patrick and Jules were genuinely gracious and enthusiastic in ensuring our stay was an enjoyable and memorable experience, from the tips on hiking / sailing,... more

Great access to Waimea canyon, Na Pali sea tours leave a few minutes away, a few minutes' walk to an excellent beach, and a reasonable drive to Poipu activities. It's the driest, sunniest spot on the island to stay. A bit off the beaten track in West Kauai, and an hour's drive from Lihue. The view from the front lanai,... more

I loved it all. My new wife and I booked 4 nights in the Ali`i Suite. The room was fantastic. It was newly renovated: 2 showers, 2 sinks, great lanai. The outdoor kitchen was amazing too. The location is perfectly quiet. Just like their website says, if you want to relax in the calm southern coast of Kauai, this really... more

Wow! What a great FIRST experience for a Bed and Breakfast! Spacious room, Clean, Private Entry, Private Lanai, and Beautiful Sunrise/Sunset Views. We were welcomed with a lei, and made to feel right at home. Over the 8 day stay, we had wonderful breakfasts, and beautiful sunsets. Patrick was extremely knowledgeable, and recommend great places for everything from eating to... more

From the moment we arrived we felt at home in our island paradise. Far from the crowds, just what we were looking for. Patrick and Jules made us feel as if we were guests in their home, actually more like family. The room was lovely, hearing the pounding surf at night lulling us to sleep. Each morning we enjoyed our... more

For us anyways...that said, Jules and Patrick made our stay a memorable one. They were very helpful, personable, hospitable and just a joy to be around. We have stayed at a number of B&Bs and this is our style. Low key, small number of rooms, great location (if you dont mind a great beach close by and awesome hiking in... more

Such a nice and helpful couple. The place has everything you need to enjoy your stay, beach towels, some boogie boards, outdoor kitchen. It was private, yet Jules and patrick made them selves available for tips on where to go and what to do. The location is ideal for the south and western part of the island. I could not... more

Patrick and Jules did a wonderful job helping us get settled in as a family. They were great getting us set up each day with trail descriptions, counsel and really useful gear (e.g., coolers, boogie boards/fins). Buck and Bo the dogs are very sweet and mellow. Re the facilities: the bedrooms were extremely comfortable to sleep in, and on the... more

After spending five days in Kapaa, our family wanted to hike for a few days in the Waimea Canyon and Kokee State Park areas without driving across the island every day. Hale Puka 'Ana couldn't have been better! Jules was the perfect hostess, giving us advice and tips on hiking trails and local restaurants. She even wrote out a page... more
