I can;t say enough good things about this place, but will! Comfortable, roomy, arrived late at night so the welcome was really nice after a long delayed flight. Convenient for anywhere on the island! A well stocked kitchen with coffee, tea and all the herbs and spices you would need. A great find for us as we prefer to stay... more

North Country Farms is for a certain type of traveler. It's not for people looking for a resort with a jacuzzi, pool and cable TV. However, if you're someone who is really looking to get back to nature, unplug and relax, you'll love this place. Birds chirp all day, the wind blows through the trees, it's a nice change from... more

This was our second time at North Country Farms, the first back in December, 2006. We loved this place so much we have told our friends and family, who have also stayed here. The best was the feeling of really living Aloha, living among instead of seperate from others on the island. North Country Farms is best for this, because... more

I love this place!!!! I live in Northern Minnesota and have stayed here many times. Each time has been perfect in its own way. The citrus was the treat this last time. I've never had such luscious and juicy fruit. I love eating "in season", the frozen tundra where I live doesn't yield a whole lot this time of year,... more

October 16-20 2008 We stayed at North Country Farms for 4 nights, instead of our planned and payed for 8. Unfortunately we did not have a satisfactory stay. Firstly, we had a problem with the garbage collection, or lack of. What to do with the garbage is not covered in the welcome binder. For a 2 or 3 day stay... more

Below is an email I sent to the guests who wrote this review. . . I have just read your review on TripAdvisor. I am always sorry when people's expectations are not met. We have been in this business for over 20 years and have had only a handle of people who were not satisfied with their stay with us....

My husband and I recently stayed in the Garden Cottage (October 3rd - 10th). The accomodations were lovely, quaint, homey and comfortable. The outdoor shower was refreshing, the lanai was shady and relaxing, with birds singing and garden views to enjoy. Our experience and stay at North Country Farms was wonderful and inspirational. We weren't able to meet Lee as she... more

My husband, 16 yr old daughter and I stayed at here for 4 days in July. We had such a good time! it is very well located on the No. Shore of Kauai. We enjoyed going into Kilauea every morning for coffee and pastries and every evening for wine and something special to grill for dinner. We stayed in the... more

This was the third time we stayed at North Country Farms, and it was as delightful as always. We have stayed in both cottages; the advantage of The Garden Cottage is the close proximity to the vegetable garden, and the advantage of The Orchard Cottage is the proximity to the citrus, avocado and banana trees. The owner encourages all guests... more

Reserved a cottage at this B & B farm, after reading about the place in Frommer's. Very disappointing and not very hospitable. We stayed two nights and paid $150 each night. No one came to even empty out the garbage. Refrigerator was stocked with two lunch box sized milk, one jar of juice and there were granola bars, bannas and... more

Firstly, let me say that I am truly sorry any stay with us is anything less than expected or anticipated. I have been in this business for over 20 years and have numerous repeat guests yearly and people who rave about our farm and cottages, so when someone is not pleased, I take it seriously. As for the breakfast goodies,...

My family stayed at North Country Farms in Kilauea and had a great time. Our cottage was a great place to come home to after a day at the beach, hiking, sightseeing or whatever kauai has to offer. The farm is amazing and offered the best tasting produce ... salad, avocados, citrus, bananas. The host, Lee and her family were... more
