We just got back from a week at the Kiahuna Planataion. We stayed in a ground floor "Royal Garden View", one bedroom unit. We loved a lot of things about it, but it is not a luxury place. The grounds are beautiful, and the beach is amazing. We were in unit #84. The great thing about this place is it... more

We had just arrived after an 11 day stay in Japan where the staff at the hotels bent over backwards to make sure we had a wonderful visit. Little did we know that returning to our own country would be such a huge disappointment with what was promised in a condo as well as a lack of good customer service.... more

This is was the second time that we stayed at the Kiahuna Plantation. This time we were in unit #77 a one bedroom, ocean view condo. We had a wonderful time and we cannot wait to return. The gardens within the resort are beautiful. And I found the services at the resort to be good. We also went to the... more

My husband and I stayed here in February of 2008, and based on that experience, we were so excited to come back! We were very disappointed with our room this time around. We had a ground-floor "ocean view" room 1 bed/ 1 bath (Unit 32) that I believe is misclassified- basically, I had to be standing on my tiptoes to... more

We booked unit 144 (I think it was in building 22)directly from the owner. It has been remodeled and it a very private end ground floor unit. Nicely equiped and I would have to say that the best part was that it had a washer and dryer right in the unit-not all of them do. We only brought carry on... more

This was our second trip to Kauai, and our first stay in a condo. We didnt really know what to expect with a condo, but we were very pleased with the unit. It was everything promised and more. The resort is low-key, but extremely nice. The main focus is the beach, and enjoying Hawaii without a lot of fanfare. This... more

My husband, son and I stayed at these condos for a week. We were disappointed with the first condo we were put in--apparently the only difference between a garden view and deluxe garden view is that they are across the parking lot from each other. Our first condo was close to po'ipu road and it was very loud. The condo... more

We stayed in a beautifully decorated one bedroom ocean view unit (# 218) and the property was also lovely. But we couldn't use our lanai or have our sliding glass door open because we were constantly bombarded by cigar and cigarette smoke from neighboring units. If we go again we will request a non-smoking building. There are plenty of places... more

There are or were two management companies for this Outrigger location with one being preferable to the other as to rates and other factors. Outrigger itself is a hotel chain, but provides management and booking for this large property....and seems to be the best of the two companies to book thru. I can't recommend enough the publications from Wizard Publications...their... more

Having stayed in Poipu several times before (Sheraton & Marriott), we took the opportunity to stay at the Outrigger Kiahuna Plantation. This should not be confused with the unrelated Castle Kiahuna Resort that shares the same area. Also you should know that several units in the Kiahuna Plantation are privately owned and may be available for rent through VRBO.com search... more
