5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 June 2013 NEW

We stayed here earlier in June. When we arrived, my husband wanted to take photos of our room. He has never done that before in our travels. The location on the island is great because you are close to a main road, but yet away from lots of traffic. I woke up early one morning and sat on the lanai... More

This place is situated in Lawai, close to Poipu (famous beach on Kauai) and Lihue so that it is easily reachable and a good starting point for any kind of activity. (Waimea Canyon, hiking or beach activities on the east shore and of course anything around Lihue) Lorna gives helpful tips for any kind of activity. There are plenty of... More

My parents stayed in the Pueo Suite, and my friend and I stayed in the Milo Suite during our visit at the Kauai Banyan Inn. This was a perfect combo of rooms, because the Pueo Suite had a kitchenette with a stove, etc, while the Milo Suite had a hot plate and smaller kitchenette. Both rooms were wonderful!! We enjoyed... We stayed in the Nani Loa room, that had a US queen (UK king bed). There were screens on the window plus ceiling fan, this kept the room cool so no need for air con. The bathroom and room were clean. Every second day the bathroom towels were changed and rubbish collected. There was free wifi in the room. There... More

My husband and I stayed in the Ulu suite for 6 nights, and we could not have been happier. Arriving after dark, we got a bit turned around trying to find the inn. We called Lorna, and she zipped down to meet us and lead us the rest of the way up the road to the inn. This typified her... More

My husband and I stayed in the Milo suite for our honeymoon. We loved Lorna's hospitality and all of the goodies she left waiting for us. Waking up to the songbirds and roosters were our favorite and we could spend hours on the porch overlooking the view. The property was very convenient because it had literally anything and everything you... More

We stayed in the Ali'i suite for our belated honeymoon. We are so glad we chose to stay here. Lorna was a perfect hostess! She welcomed us with a hug and a smile on arrival and showed us around. The Ali'i suite was gorgeous (from what I understand it is the biggest unit and in my opinion had the best... More

I had a tremendous trip visiting the island of Kaua'i for the first time and was so blessed to have found Kaua'i Banyan Inn. It's the perfect Inn tucked away amongst lush surroundings and my room (the Pueo Suite), had an excellent view of the ocean. I found the room to be clean, stocked with all necessities, and spacious -... More

When we were looking for a place to say, this place spoke to me. It had to be here! We definately did not want the big resorts. Too many people, too many rooms, walk forever to get to your car, no privacy, expensive!!! We arranged our trip around the inns availability. We knew wanted the cottage but it was only available... This was obviously a beautiful inn...in its day! Lorna has thought of everything but the place needs to be refreshed with a new coat of paint and some updates. Out bed was comfy but the bathroom cramped and small and the outside patio furniture very old. We were grateful for beach chairs and beach towels but for an inn that... More
