I just returned from a trip to Kauai. First of all, the island is absolutely magnificent! We had the pleasure of staying in the Milo Suite at the Kauai Banyan Inn. What a treat! The room is so clean and the inn is so quaint and relaxing. The inn keeper, Lorna has thought of everything. There are so many wonderful... more

It will be difficult to find a better host than Lorna or a room that is more unique that at the Banyan. The wrap-around balcony of the Koa room was amazing, allowing you to sit outside and enjoy breakfast while sitting at the treetops. Leave the sliding glass door open all night and listen to the wind through the trees.... more

I loved this island, the residents, and this inn. I'll just list the specifics, and try not to gush too much. I don't think I can hold back though... The view is terrific and relaxing, and it belongs to you. We sat on that balcony every night enjoying a bottle of wine and cheese and fruit from the Big Save... more

Staying at the Inn from May 2 through May 9th proved to be a pleasant and very relaxing experience. Lorna has a warm personality and works hard to be sure that her guest’s time at the Inn is relaxing and peaceful. From our great view in the Ulu suite, with its comfortable furnishings, we were able to relax and plan... more

The Kauai Banyan was very cozy. The rooms are immaculate with hardwood floors and the most beautiful high wood ceilings I have ever seen. There is a kitchenette stocked with everything you could imagine--even butter in the fridge! Breakfast is not served here but Lorna provides muffins, fresh fruit and candy upon your arrival. This worked out very well. We... more

My wife and I stayed 6 nights at the Kauai Banyan Inn from MArch 5-11 2009. It was the absolutly perfect place for us. The room was small but had all the amenities that anyone could ever want and it great lanai . Trip Advisor is such a wonderful source for travelers seeking accommodations and I consider myself and my establishment fortunate to be a part of their advertising. Because of the ability for future travelers to read the reviews, any comment can create a stir so felt it necessry to provide some explanation for the comment about the "small" room. Even though...

All the reviews speak the truth. This is a very special place to stay. It's near to beaches, hikes, restaurants -- yet peaceful and tucked into a beautiful peace of the island. Lorna is lovely, and always working to improve the quality of her already top-notch inn. The Ula suite was beautiful (my husband wants to recreate the ceiling in... more

...for the end of our 2 week visit to the islands of Hawaii. We spent 5 nights in a condo on Maui, 2 nights at a hotel on the Big Island and 2 nights at a hotel on Oahu. The Kauai Banyan Inn was the best accommodation for the last 5 nights of this trip of a lifetime for me... more

My wife and I stayed in the Nani Loa room during our trip and the Kauai Banyan Inn is number one on our list for our next stay. A beautiful, clean, friendly, and quiet place to stay. Lorna is fantastic and has great recommendations for activities, eats, and sightseeing. People seem to complain about the roosters, but they didn't bother... more

We enjoyed our stay in the Koa Suite at the Kauai Banyan Inn. The bed was soft-unlike "hotel" beds- and the pillows were very comfortable. The suite was stocked for all our housekeeping needs and the breakfast basket was a lifesaver! We enjoyed the snorkeling and beach gear they had on hand. Lorna was a great travel adviser, telling us... more
