The beach in walking distance is not swimmable, but the hotel is in a convenient location on the East Shore, where you can get to many restaurants and shops and beaches by easy drive. It has a nice looking lobby and pools. Our room was decent and the gym was bare minimum. Staff were hit and miss; some were friendlier... more

We recently stayed at the Hilton Hawaiian Village (Oahu) and the Grand Hyatt and were very disappointed in this Hilton. We are Hilton Honors members (gold) and felt that this hotel tried to nickel and dime their guests. Guests MUST use the hotel towels at the pool. You are also given a towel card that you must turn in in... more

We were so glad to have chosen the Hilton Kauai Beach Resort as our home base for our Kauai travels. The location is perfect -- very close to the airport and approximately halfway between our main points of interest: Waimea Canyon and the Na Pali/Hanalei/Princeville coastlines. Plus, due to its location on the East side of the island, you are... more

We checked in on 6/19/2009 for extra nights around an already planned 7 day vacation at another resort. When we arrived at the resort, our room was not ready, and the staff advised another hour or so. We finally checked in close to 5:00 PM, and went to our room. The room was nice, with new carpet and comforter, falt... more

This hotel has it all about 2 mins from the airport but no noise from planes, 4 pools 2 spa's bars, restaurants, gardens and more, the only down side to this hotel is not enough umbrellas for shade, we counted about 6 that could be moved to cover chairs etc, most were round tables. Still a stunning place to be,... more

We had a great experience at the Hilton Kauai - we stayed there for a week last summer. The location is central and a great place to explore all parts of the island - North or South. Valet parking was included in our stay which was awesome. The room were clean and comfortable - especially the bed - and the... more

I think the remarks by another reviewer, along the lines of, "spruced up motel" really fit this hotel. It has a dramatic entry, and the pools are attractive, if a little plastic-fantastic, but the rooms are nothing great. I know that people don't want to camp in their rooms when the island is so beautiful, but I thought the dowdiness... more

Let me start by saying Kauai is an AMAZING place to visit!! It is breathtaking how gorgeous Waimea canyon and the Napali coast are. However, I would only recommend staying at this Hilton if you are using points. The first thing we noticed was the furniture that looked like it had been there since the 80’s and the floor that... more

I was really disappointed by this resort and must say that the best thing reccomending it is the location and proximity to the South and North Shores. I got a bad vibe as soon as we checked in and were immediately told about lots of potential fees (for towels, early checkout, etc.) and were then directed to our room without... more

I live on Kauai, but since we were helping with a festival a few minutes away from the hotel and it was an hour's drive to our home, we decided to rent a room there. They had a kamaaina (local resident) special of $99/ nt for a minimum 2 nt. stay. My first impression was that everyone was very friendly,... more
