I stayed a full week at the Kauai Inn, and I really enjoyed my stay there. The Inn is located in a residential and rather secluded neighborhood situated quite close to the harbor in Lihue. The directions to the Inn on its website were very helpful in finding the property. My first impression of the Kauai Inn was its quiet... More

My husband and I stayed for one night passing through Lihue on our way from Koke'e park to the North Shore. This inn is good for a short stay before or after your flight or if you're visiting Kauai on a budget, but this is not a resort-style getaway place. Our room was clean and generally well-maintained, although decor could... More

You think you're about to head to a lousy place because the road that it's on is full of factories and seaport industry. Well, that's true but as soon as you go over a short one-lane bridge, you are just out of the way of all that and right at the entrance of the Kauai Inn This is a family... More

Arriving late at night was difficult & we thought the locals directions would be adequate...NOT! Waking up in the beautifully landscaped setting was the biggest plus. Breakfast needed protein additions (purchased at nearby Costco). The staff are very friendly but there's nothing special about the location (need to drive to get anywhere) & the pool wasn't heated nor is there... More

Thank you so much for your review! The comfort and satisfaction of our customers is very important to us at the Kauai Inn. Our soaking tubs are jetted and are located in our suites, which are our nicest rooms and therefore cost more! I hope you had a wonderful visit on Kauai! Mahalo, The Kauai Inn Ohana More

We stayed at the Kauai in for 3 nights on the 2nd floor (Room 209), and it was honestly the first time I ever fell in love with a hotel room. Driving up to it, my first thought at looking at this complex of 2-story khaki buildings was "They look like barracks!" But after seeing some of the island and... More

We just returned from our honeymoon on Kauai and have nothing but praise for the Kauai Inn. If you're looking for a big expensive resort that you never have to leave, this is not your place. However, if you're planning on actually exploring Kauai while you're on Kauai, this is definitely the best and most economical option. We could tell... More

We booked five rooms overnight before our flight out after nine days on the north shore. We had special requirements and the staff was very helpful in both meeting the requirements and keeping everyone close together. We also kept a room the next day until 6pm before our evening flight, and although it would have been reasonable they didn't charge... More

Oldest Hotel on Kauai 100$ Standard Room queensized bed, breakfast and Wifi incl. Very warm and welcoming hotel 5 km southwest of Lihue. Rooms are neither big nor small but well cleaned and maintained, if a little old. There is a small cafeteria outside and a clean and big pool with surrounding chairs and tables. There is also a big... More

We were finishing up a 13 day stay on the island, and just needed a place to stay for 2 days before our departure. The Inn was very clean, but dated. The carpeting needed replacement. The pool was wonderful, and the location of the Inn was great for the airport, and short trips on this side of the island. The... More

This is a very good hotel for a short stay on the island of Kauai. I would have rated it 4 stars but I took a star off because the receptionist took almost 30 minutes to call the taxi (because she was talking to other people) to go to the airport, so we were late for our check in.... Ok,... More
